Off topic, I have bought something from Sears on same offer. $20 cashback in points for purchase of $20.
Now my question is what if I want to return my original purchase items? Will I be given my credit back or they balance it with the negative points in case I already used my points.

    • Sree

As I remember they deduct the points and return remaining. For example, if you paid $23 for and item and you got $20 in points. If you return that Item you will get $3 back. But you can get confirmation before finalize the transaction and you can make decision based on amount you are getting.

Is this the same promotion that was posted here couple of weeks ago for diapers? I did that one. Iā€™m just wondering if I will earn point if I do this one as well.

    • *Angela-Miles*

Yes I’m pretty sure it’s the same one. I did it also

  3. Jamie

Anyone known if you can use points for the purchase and still earn points?

    • retta

no. unless you pay at least $10 (not in points) to reach the minimum. but then you’ll only get points back for however much you pay out of pocket. hth

Thanks for posting this šŸ™‚ wish I could do it again. . I got a great deal last week doing it, used $15 in points I had and got back $47 in points the next day. Got food and household products I needed.

    • Moneysaver

Do we get points even if we use points for purchase

      • User in Racine

You can’t use points to buy the products.

    • misti

It shows I won’t get cash back if I use my points did you do something different to get the points back?

      • *Angela-Miles*

I’m not sure about online if it will let you use them and earn points, most of the time it dont. But in store he told me my total and entered my membership number then I said I’d like to use my points. He went back out of the total screen, clicked on my points and it took them off. It showed pending on my account what I would earn and then the next day I was awarded the points. It doesn’t always work tho, their points system can be wonky

      Wow, that’s great, Angela! šŸ‘šŸ¼

Thank you! Questions: Based on the deal scenario, how do you get $5 more than your purchase price back in points? Also, what can you buy with your points, and are they emailed to you?

    • Nels

They appear on your account. Iā€™m new to this too. I did the deal couple of weeks ago and it will tell you how many points you will earn before you submit the order. Mine worked out great. I used points couple of days later on some household stuff at SYW online

    • muquee

It does indicate what you will earn prior to submitting order, however, FYI…I did this last year as a newbie to it and this year, cautiously because of the trouble I had last year. It was not better this year. Both times, some but not all of the points showed up on my account. I had to call several times and explain it all each time to the rep because what I was told by the previous rep, did not happen despite them telling me REPEATEDLY No Worry, No worry, I fix. I spent approx 90 minutes total on phone to finally after 14 days get the majority of the points. Not a great deal factoring in additional lost time. If you have the extra time in case it doesn’t go smoothly, it is less of an issue. It is no surprise, they can’t keep customers.

The extra $5 is from the promo they’re running for the rest of this month, $1 cashback points for every $5 you spend.

Thank you so much for the post!

My advice would be don’t return it. Or for this offer,(doesn’t pertain to above comment) plan on keeping the items. It rarely works out. I have heard if you return items before points were going to expire they ‘sometimes’ get returned to you, but they will expire quick. If you do exactly as a deal works with no returns and don’t use points on the original purchase, I have always had these promos work great. Good luck. It’s so hit or miss IMO.

If you search “essential home” you will find a really pretty set of glass jars for 29.97, and you get 100% back in points…its almost like getting it free.
I did this & they are really nice sized jars.

      Sweet!

I believe you can do this offer more than once per account; in the past I have been able to and simply order online for in store pick up. That way you can see if you are going to earn points before you buy!

  11. Mommyof5

    Great deal

  12. Elmo2205

can i redeem the points by shopping online,or do they have to be redeemed in store?
