Stitch Fix offers a personalized shopping experience WITHOUT needing to leave home! Simply fill out your Stitch Fix Style Profile and a personal stylist will handpick a selection of five pieces of clothing, shoes and/or accessories unique to your taste, budget and lifestyle. Keep what you love and send the rest back for free in a prepaid envelope. EASY!

Once you fill out your profile and select a delivery date from the calendar, your Stylist will select your items and the $20 styling fee will be waived for new customers!

The amount you’ll spend on the actual box of clothing will vary based on the following…
  • What budget amounts you select while taking the Style Profile.
  • What you actually decide to keep.
  • If you keep ALL 5 items sent, you’ll get an EXTRA 25% off your entire order! Pretty sweet, and makes for some nice savings!

What do they offer?

You may receive pants, skirts, dresses, shirts, outerwear, jewelry, shoes and more from over 250 different brands. Plus if you’d like something specific, you can leave a note for your stylist and they will do their best to fulfill your request. They currently carry women’s sizes 0-24W and XS-3X (including petite and plus), maternity sizes 0-14 and XS-XL, and men’s sizes XS-XXL.

A few tips since I’ve received a few boxes over the past 2-3 years. I strongly recommend that anyone who orders a Fix start a Pinterest board (even if you don’t do Pinterest, start one just for this). My first Fix was a fail because I didn’t do that. It really helps. Also, their customer service is great. If you are really disappointed in a Fix, let them know. The first time, they refunded my styling fee, so I gave them another try after setting up a Pinterest board and they nailed it.

The more specific you are about what you like, the better your Fix will be. I like to cover my arms, so I always say NO tanks or sleeveless tops. I think beige washes me out, so I tell them I like bright colors. If you prefer looser fit clothes, let them know. They will make selections based on what you tell them you’re comfortable in. If you want to go outside your comfort zone, tell them that too.

Finally, if you sign up for their emails, they will often send you offers to waive the styling fee even though you’re an existing member. I never order unless I get those emails. I usually get them twice a year (had one last summer and just got one again last week), which is perfect for me because I never order more often than that.

As others have said, yes, they’re a little pricey, but you’re also paying for the convenience. And you may find a new style you like, which you can then try to find similar pieces of in the store. I find that Marshall’s, DressBarn and sometimes Kohl’s have the closest styles for the shirts I’ve received. It’s helped me find some new styles I may not have tried on otherwise.

Plus, they’re waiving the styling fee for your first box if using referral code!!

I noticed today that this is part of my bank’s rewards program (SunTrust). You earn 10% back on purchases made with your debit card. I may have to try it!

  2. JulesTG

I tried this when it was “free” before, and I still got charged! 🙁

  3. Courtney

I just signed up, but it didn’t tell me how much it’s going to cost. Anyone know how to check that?

    • Lindsey

The first styling fee is waived according to the post! So they ship you 5 items for free and then you choose what you want to keep and whatever you don’t keep you send back! It’s a lot of fun and very easy!

I just want to make sure understand this right. If I decide not to keep any of the clothes they send in this box I can return them and not get charged anything since the styling fee is waived?

    • Lindsey

Yes I would assume that is correct! But don’t count on not keeping anything 😉 I’ve kept everything from all my boxes so far! Ha!

It’s helps if you have a Pinterest account linked so your stylist can see what you really like! That’s the best beneficial advice I can give 🙂

I have a referral link, too, if anyone would like to try! I have done 44 fixes and I loooove not having my money not tied up in a return process for weeks- it’s so nice to decide BEFORE you buy. And their customer service is amazing. Try for free while you can! $20 styling fee per Fix after that, and it’s applied to any purchase you make 😊
