    That’s $0.44 per piece! Whew!

    • ashley

Total rip off. I noticed theie prices are close to 10 cents a piece for the average set.

  2. Theresa

I maybe would have paid $10 for that….

  3. melanie

    $20 for a tiny, boring house….no thanks.

  4. Cami

That is a horrible price 😬

  5. PattyH

Well, that’s disappointing. And ugly. And disappointing. I suppose that’d be $60 to collect all 3?? No thanks.

I don’t buy legos so thanks for letting me know that’s a bad price!
    What’s a good price point ? Thanks

    • Victoria W. C.

10c or less per piece is my preferred price point.

On Black Friday or Thanksgiving, I bought a set of 900 pieces for $20 at Walmart.

These are obviously being marketed for the true collector. Says they are in numbered boxes. If you look at the picture of the back of the box it shows the next 2 that will be available a car and windmill. Not anything I see a kid being excited about.

    • ifoundit

Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I had it totally wrong. I thought the first set made all three items pictured in this one, and the next 2 sets would be more. Instead it only makes the house.

Ugh…so anticlimactic. Anybody know what happened to the 1958 price deal? I think I missed something.

    • CbEths

      That is Saturday.

      • sue

Do you know how many can we buy on Saturday? Do you know if it is online only? If it is online will they offer instore pickup? On the 9th and 11th are they offering the same sets at the $5 price? Thanks for any info.

  9. Kristy

This is probably their way of recouping the money they’re losing on the $5.95 deal on Feb 3rd.

  10. Liz

Odd man out here, but I remember my grandpa having this set at his house. I’d buy it for that reason.

    • Trish

      That’s a nice memory 😊

  11. momo

    How big is this house?

    • Sue

      Assembled Product Dimensions (L x W x H): 6.75 x 3.90 x 1.50 Inches

      (aka: pretty small)

Super Unexciting for my boys ….they thought the pirate ship In a bottle you guys posted earlier today was way cooler!

This set is geared towards adults and collectors. Not children. Collectors are willing to spend the money for a set with historical significance like this.

Did anyone notice that this post doesn’t mention Feb 3 sale, which originally it said was one of the 3 collectible sets? This post says feb 1,5 and

    • Jill

It does mention that sale also. It’s at the very bottom of the post.

I agree that it’s overpriced a bit, but I think it’s an *awesome* kit! I love how simple it is. I wish the entire Lego City line had this aesthetic!
