   A few of my targets put their valentines apparel on clearance for 30% rather than following the clearance for all other valentines items. Bummer

  I’ve had this happen too. Usually you can talk them into giving it to you at the 90% off if you ask at the customer service desk. Some of the stuff that rings up on sale at other stores says full price at another so I let them know.

  and then i had the opposite happen this year — when our Target Valentine’s clearance section was marked 50% off, i had several apparel items in my cart, and all of the apparel rang up at 90% off, except one clothing item which rang up 75% off.

   Just be mindful: This is only for big kids sizes, not baby/toddler I bought several size 5T shirts today and the discount didn’t apply because it was the wrong department. I would have been better off going across the aisle to the size 4/5 in the big kids and gotten the discount! That fine print is tricky.

  Just wanted to say that the post mentions that it excludes baby and toddler.. which makes me mad because that should still be part of the kid section 😒

   Has anyone noticed the prices on the app different than the registers? I scanned some clearance elementary boys long sleeve character shirts with my cell this weekend and it showed the price as 3.88, however the clearance sticker still said 5.48 and the register scanned at 5.48. I was at the scan-your-own registers so I asked the gal what the deal is and she price matched and I still used the cartwheel!

  Yes, but my experience is always the opposite. The clearance sticker and in store scanner will be one, lower price and when I scan it with the app the price is always higher!

  That happened to me few times now. The first time I asked the cashier she price matched but this time around another cashier told me that she can’t price match the online price which is the target app price to the clearance price tag on the clothing I’m purchasing which is so frustrating to me. 😒 and then I went to another Target which is closer to home and I frequent. I tried to return an item to rebuy it coz the price went down when I scan on their price check scanner, you know what the cashier told me!? If I return the item I can’t buy it right now at the moment because they will need to put it back in shelves and that usually take them 30 mins!? WOW I’m shocked. I didn’t have this problem before last time I ask them to price adjust and the clerk said I can do a return and repurchase. Target stores do change their policy often huh? I guess it depends on the employee maybe??

   Also, when I price check some of the valentines clearance items like the hallmark or Carlson’s valentines stickers they scanned and rang up regular price. I thought I’d tell the cashier that I found it at valentines clearance but not ringing up. She had to call someone and ultimately she told me that she cannot honor the clearance price because she can’t verify the item and that it’s not part of the clearance. So I was like ok forget it I’ll not take it but then I checked my receipt she charged me for one of the stickers pack on reg price and it’s not in my bag and I didn’t purchase it coz I asked her to cancel it 😣
