Sent my husband to scoop up both cashew sales, organic and non, plus the Degree deodorant, and when he asked about it, the manager said they had several people come in with the same request so they contacted corporate and were told that may be one specific store, but not a CVS sale. Did anyone else run into this?
We were able to get the cashews. They were marked $16.99 on the shelf but when they scanned them on the price checker it said $5.99 with the card. I find CVS has poorly trained managers and they are unwilling to check for you. The prices are always the highest of Walgreens, Rite Aid and other chains in NY.
PS. Barbara-I don’t believe that they called corporate. I would go back and make them scan on the “red coupon machine”- it also checks prices and sales. So frustrating.
I’ve never had luck with sales items at my CVS so was tired of trying and stopped going. Just a warning in general on sale nuts–many are already rancid. It’s hard enough finding nuts at Whole Foods and other grocers that have been stored for a while before even offered for sale and already rancid. You have no way of knowing when you buy this way unfortunately.
The sale price was in the ad on the bottom right corner of front page. No size was mentioned. I did get a raincheck.
