When I saw these in the store in person, so many had cracks and other damage. However there is a Sterilite Ultra brand which is much thicker and more flexible. Those are practically indestructible. Target sells them frequently for $7 each.

Oh darn! Sorry to hear that many of these were cracked in store. Thanks for sharing what you found!

All the totes in my house are pretty much these & we use them all the time. What I will say is that I was worried about them cracking too & saw a lot of cracked ones in store, but at the time I just wanted to get our stuff out of cardboard boxes. Were we live now there are a lot of brown recluse spiders that are attracted to cardboard so my main thing was to just be able to get rid of all cardboard and put everything in plastic like was recommended to us. I didn’t have the money to buy a better option & I remember thinking “These are by far the best price, but are they going to all be broken in a few months?”. Now we’ve had them for about 5 years and none of ours have broken yet. We have pretty heavy stuff in them too. They’ve been slammed around a lot. So idk what happens in store, but people have to be pretty darn rough on them because they are stronger than what I originally thought. They have withstood kids climbing on them at my place too, but would recommend against that.

I have two those and love them. They are nice and deep and the quality is so much better than the ones I’ve bought from Kmart over the years.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Good to know Haseena! Thanks for taking a moment to comment! I will be grabbing a few of these for my seasonal items for sure!

Can I go to store and have them price match their website? I’d like to pay cash

    • K211

Target has price matched for me with their website in the past without any problem . But it may vary from store to store. I am not sure. Maybe you can call ahead and check. Another solution is to purchase a target gift card in store using cash and then use it pay online and pick up on the spot in store. HTH 🙂

    • kmh2301

They’re on sale in store, too. So the price would be the same. In the past, I’ve had trouble with them selling out during these sales, so I would recommend maybe calling first, just to confirm inventory. Good luck!

Oh perfect! My teen started cleaning toys and things out of her room but some of them *I* can’t bear to part with. These will help me out. Lol.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I know what you mean! I have a few totes in our basement storage closet that have the toys I couldn’t part with either! LOL!

    • ella

I’m glad I’m not the only one! My husband now tells the kids “check with mom and make sure she’s willing to part with it.” LOL

    • Karen

I can totally relate. I bought some of these tubs yesterday strictly to use on some of the baby clothes and toys I can simply not part with. I have such a hard time letting go!

  5. Britani

Ugh. I need a Target in my area so bad! All these good deals in store. I need these to store my baby/kid clothes. Like a lot of them! Lol.
The search for good quality, cheap bins continues. Lol!

    • Amanda

Have you tried the space bags for storing baby clothes? That’s what I use and they’re great! I even used a couple of dollar tree ones and they are just as good

  6. kroc

I got some last year and they are ok, but they do crack and break if you try to stack them.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! That is a bummer they can break when trying to stack them. 🙁 Thanks for the warning!

  7. sann

Do you guys think it might be better to just go to Costco and get the black and yellow ones from Costco for around $7? I just want to organize my attic this spring.

  8. Mary

And if you use Shipt they are honoring the prices so even better delivered to my door !!!!

  9. Karina

I have the 16.5 ClearView with purple latch. I got them about 2 years ago when Hip 2 save posted the same deal. I like the clear ones because you can see what’s inside. I currently have them in my garage. They’re nice and none have cracked. I don’t use them for heavy items, just to organize paper supplies, craft supplies, and clothes. I don’t stack them either.
I’m planning to but more now.

  10. Rosanne

We have several of the gray ones and the Sterilite clear ones and they work perfectly. No cracking, or breaking, even when stacked. My 8 year old has even sat on them and even still, no problems. I was just saying we needed a couple more, but I’m cheap, I was waiting for a sale 😊
    Thank you!

  11. Kelli

We’ve had about 15 of the grey ones for over a year now and haven’t had a single one break or crack. Some have a lot of weight in them but haven’t had any problems.

  12. Kelly

I have grey ones for a couple years and they are great! I think I’m going to order some purple to put my spring decorations in and differentiate from the others

  13. tammy fitzrandolph

We bought the gray ones last christmas and they are awesome no issues . Plus they hold more and i like the locking lid. We got them at target for less then 4,80 a bin.
