Medicaid Recipients: Amazon Offers Over 50% Prime Discount Just for You
Heads Up!
If you currently have an EBT or Medicaid card, you may qualify to pay just $5.99 per month for an Amazon Prime Membership. That’s over 50% off compared to the $12.99/monthly fee or over 25% off compared to the $99/annual fee for regular Prime Members!
This monthly membership offers Medicaid recipient members free 2-day shipping on millions of items, unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows with Prime Video, free unlimited photo storage, and lots more (be sure to check out these 20 UNBEATABLE perks of a Prime Membership here).
Please note, however, that this special monthly offer for Medicaid members is for individual accounts only and does not include household sharing of Prime benefits, and you will need to qualify every 12 months, for up to 48 months.
To see if you are eligible, head to Amazon, click the Get Started button, and confirm your eligibility with a valid EBT or Medicaid number. Note that you will also be asked to upload an image of your EBT or Medicaid card, and you may need to verify your Amazon account via email.
HELPFUL TIPS: According to an Amazon customer service representative, if you are already an Amazon Prime member, you can cancel your current subscription and then apply for the program.
Also, if your kids are on Medicaid but you are not, you’ll need to create an Amazon account for each child and then you can apply for the discount. There are no age limits in order to apply.
