I love the deal matchups. Just disappointed in the way the coupons are more restrictive these days. Like the Neutrogena for instance. I can do separate transactions but just don’t enjoy holding up the line. Even though today I paid around $3.42 for over $52 in transactions using extra bucks, bogo coupons, and cvs coupons. It was a nice haul but the lady behind me was probably less than thrilled. Also the person 40 oz Persil detergent was gone so my cvs manager let me buy the 100 oz for 8.99 by breaking the price up as 2(4.79 each) and I was able to use 2 coupons on the one large bottle. A little confusing maybe but I love the way he keeps customers happy.
If I have to do sep transactions, and someone else comes up behind me as I’m finishing one, I step out of line and let them go. Then I can regroup and make sure I have everything together for the next transaction.
That is exactly what I do when I have to make more than one transaction. I think it’s the polite thing to do and, as you said, allows you time to get thins together for the next transaction.
I’ve been getting $6 off of $30 coupon to L2C at CVS ever week. I decided to do the nexus deal Yesterday instead of Sunday cuz if you buy 2 you get $12 ECB. Used two $5 mfg coupons and rolled ECBs turned out to be good. I like these products.

I was able to load it earlier in the week but it showed only a few deals and wouldn’t let me access the extracare section or my previous purchases. Now it won’t load at all. Anybody know how the coupons on the CVS app works???? I thought you could only use either the app coupon or a paper coupon but not both. This is the 2nd week in a row where both the app coupon and a paper coupon came off without any beeps. For example, I purchased 2 easter m&ms and used my $1 off from the red machine from last week and I used a $1 off paper coupon. Both came off AND I see the $1 easter m&ms coupon from my app came off too. I also purchased 4 Loreal Elvive and used 4 $2 coupons AND I see that $1 Loreal from the CVS app came off too. I am just wondering because I am not using my ECB to their fullest now. So for example my $5 ECB only came off as $3 because my total before tax was $0.
yeah, I’m getting extra digital manuf q’s coming off, even when using paper manuf q’s. I think it only happens when you’re using a paper coupon that is off a quantity of 2 or more. The system attaches 1 coupon to 1 item and if you have a digital offer, will attach to the 2nd item.
I got the M&M’s today too, used the crt from last wk, insert q and the digital q also applied. Last wk, with the Covergirl, I used the BOGO ip and $6/2 digital also applied! After getting my EBs adj down for having extra digitals apply, now what I do to make sure I don’t hand over more EB’s than I need, is to ask the cashier if they could hit the total button after they scan just my manuf q’s. I can see on the screen if digitals have come off. Then I can give any CRT’s & EBs w/out going over. Some cashiers won’t do it, saying it messes up the transaction. but that’s not true. *IF* there are sent cvs q’s, those will just void off until the cashier re-totals the transaction again after scanning paper crt’s & eb’s.
Thanks Mel. That make sense about the digital coupons coming off. Unfortunately I cannot have the cashiers total my transaction and tell me how much is left. ALL the cashiers in both my CVSs tell me exactly what you just said about the transaction getting messed up. They will NOT total the transaction to see how much I owe after I use the paper coupons. I actually had a cashier do this once. She took my paper coupons, totaled the transaction, then took the ECBs. Her machine voided some coupons and then she told me “see, I told you it would mess up the transaction” (talk about an attitude). She then voided the whole thing before I could say anything, rerung everything and took all my coupons again. Ever since then, I use a calculator to add everything up minus coupons so I know how much ECBs to use. I will take into account digital coupons from now on (as long as the paper coupon is $x off 2 items).
BTW Mel, great job on the Covergirl. I wish I know about that last week. That would have been awesome! Unfortunately, I only clipped the $6 off 2 AFTER I purchased my Covergirl.

Just a quick question. After I got home from my local CVS and reviewed the extracare coupons that printed off at the register, I realized that I had received a $2 off (2) SOFTSOAP BODY WASH coupon, which I failed to use. Behind the bar code on the coupon, there is a “MFR” marking. Does this mean it is considered a manufacturer’s coupon and could not be combined with coupons I clipped out of the newspaper? If not, can I go back to my local CVS with my receipt and the coupon that printed out in the store and still get the adjustment?
Most stores no longer do a post coupon refund. You will probably have to do a return of the items. get a refund (depending on how you paid, will be how it’s returned), then re-ring the items so you can use the crt. If you don’t want to go through all that, just hold your CRT, bc starting Sun there’s going to be a new Softsoap EB deal – $3.49, get $1.75 eb (limit 4) + $0.75 coupon in the upcoming inserts, so you can still get 2 free –
$3.49 x 2 = $6.98 – $.75×2 manuf q – $2/2 crt = $3.48, get $3.50 EB back.
When a crt says “MFR”, that doesn’t mean it’s a manuf coupon. It has to do with how the store taxes your purchase. If you’re in a state that charges tax pre-coupon, then in the softsoap example above, you’re charged tax on $6.98. If the $2/2 were a true CVS store coupon, then the $2 would be deducted and you’d be charged tax on $4.98.
