We had three of these and finally gave up and returned the third one. They literally run away. It’s hilarious at first but then scary because they weigh a lot. It’s such a cute idea but the signal needs to be stronger for BB-8 to detect the handheld remote control. I liked it but my kids 6,8yr lots interest when he wasn’t obedient. Also the head pops off easily when it runs into a wall. And I paid about $90 at Xmas at target.

Completely agree with this. We got it at Christmas and it went back about two weeks later. The head wouldn’t stay on and it would disconnect from the remote all the time. To bad because it’s super cute!
