Since I cannot see spending big money on a basket that’s going to be used once I typically try to get my Baskets at Dollar Tree or at a similar price. However the actual wicker baskets they offer there are so small I can never fit anything in them. So this year I went with a larger plastic bin, that way after their initial use we can use them to organize toys art supplies Etc. They had some really pretty ones with a lattice design I plan on running a ribbon through the top to tie the name tag on!!

Why would the basket only be used once? Mine are on their 6th year. You just have to store them.

      Great idea!

We reuse our baskets every year. It’s something my parents did for us, so we have carried on the tradition. We bought nicer (but not overly expensive) baskets, and use store them in the attic. Reuse the same grass each year too. I understand the novelty of picking a new basket each year too. Especially when there is one that matches with a theme or child’s current interest. But, I’m a traditionalist, so we reuse.

I went today and got quite a few things (Easter and not)! Snyder’s pretzel packs, candy, individual Edwards pie slices, pj masks sandwich keeper, and two coloring books. We love the “Disney color play” coloring books. You can download the free app, and it makes your child’s art come alive on your phone. It’s really neat.

I went today and my store still had tons of the Amope pedi perfect electronic nail care system and the refill packs! I grabbed 4 of each to throw in the “gift closet” probably would be a great addition to a teenage girl’s Easter basket also!

I got plastic bucket types of Easter baskets at the dollar tree so the kids can use them at the sand pile or beach after easter, plus filled eggs with gold fish crackers, animal cookies, fruit gummies and of course candy – but all from the d.t

I made a basket for my mom using the tin flower planters ( posted a few weeks ago) with her fave candy and goodies, including the free walgreens bookmark! Then when shes done, she can plant something. She loved it!!!!!!

    • Kyliejay!

      How cute!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Also noticed a ton of Easter candy for $1 at Walmart today. Peeps $1 n other cute stuff as well for $1

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks Nina! I like to shop Walmart for some cheap Easter items too!

My kids have had their baskets since they were babies so I just re use them every yr. But last time I was at the dollar tree they had these super cute sequence/mermaid storage boxes and for $1 I HAD to grab them. So I will give them to my daughters with some gifts inside plus their regular Easter baskets. They can use them for storage after Easter.

Also I forgot to add- that bath bomb looks like those squishies that are so popular now with the kids. I was hoping it was one of those. My kids have spent so much money on those things. Need to find them cheaper that the $6-$8 that they usually go for 🙄. My heart almost stopped when I saw that picture LOL

      • Julie

I thought they were the squishies too!

  8. Ms Frizzle

I found Easter stuff like this cheaper than a $1 at JoAnn Fabrics. They’re having 70% off.
