I am not familiar with how the points work at Walgreens. Are you saying that any points earned for a purchase can be used for that same purchase?
No you can’t. Correct me if I’m wrong but As far as I know, you can’t earn points if you use points for purchase.
Sorry I think I get what you’re saying now. The post only showed you how much the item is gonna be after deducting the points you earned. But, you can’t use the points you’re gonna earn for the same transaction.
Thank you! I use ECB’s at CVS all the time and do really well at scoring great deals, but I have never been able to get a handle on the Walgreens point system. Doesn’t seem to work as well for me as the CVS ECB’s.
I just did a deal on deodorant that was buy two get 3000 points. You will earn points when they are advertised this way when you redeem points. However you will not earn points on, for example, a spend $20 on anything get 7000 points, if you redeem points.

Make sure to check your Walgreens “perks”! I had buy a 6 pack of Nice! Paper towels, get back 5,000 points. The paper towels are only $5.99, so after points I basically paid .99 cents for a 6-pack! Awesome deal!
