So a $100.00 item would be $90 after Lowes discount.
Then, if you used $90 of gift cards from this Dollar General deal (15% off), you would pay $76.50.

I’m not sure about this 15% off…I know that the store did a $10 off the purchase of two gift cards sometime near the holiday season because I was able to score a deal then.
To the left of the Ruby Tuesday card in the background is a Disney Card. I’m not seeing that in the ad but I know my local store sells Disney cards. Has anyone been to the store and seen if they’ll let you buy those for 15% off? That would be awesome. I’m trying to pay off the trip I bought the other day when you posted about the free dining plan.

I saw this posted in my Sunday ad and I was going to purchase a dishwasher this week at Lowes. I was wondering if I could purchase $800 in gift cards at Dollar General and then turn around and purchase my dishwasher with all of them? Is there a limit to how many/much I can purchase and use in one transaction?
My Dollar General only takes cash for gift card purchases, so bring a wad with you… 🙂

We purchased a mower with 10 gifts cards last year, no problem whatsoever. I like that Lowe’s will give you the difference back if the item goes on sale, makes me less worried about waiting or buying now.
On the bottom of the first page of the Dollar General ad, it says they are giving all veterans, active military, and their families 11% off on May 9th. It doesn’t give any specifics. It just says see store for details.
When I went to the Lowe’s website it said they now give 10% off everyday for active military and families. So combining the savings on gift cards with the discount should be nice!

We asked at ours today & the cashier said we should be able to get the veteran discount on the gift card on the 9th, but we’ll see… fingers crossed!! 😉

I was able to buy $500 worth of Lowe’s gift cards (we’re redoing our deck) and $100 worth of Olive Garden gift cards. I was able to use my credit card for it all. Had to do one gift card purchase at a time though. They all seemed clueless as to what was going on but that’s normal at my DG with any deal they have.
The Daren restaurant gift card was advertised in my ad so I went there on my way to birthday party today to grab one for a gift and they were not ringing up 15% off and manager said she can’t change the price in the register for giftcards! Even though it’s in the ad! I am very annoyed!
The Darden wasn’t working for me either but the manager gave me $15 back (I got a $100 gift card) since it was clearly the same gift card. It’s always so hard to coupon at DG…
That was nice of them to give you back the 15%! I agree! Everyone I go to DG and try to use a coupon ect. I get irritated! Lol!
Same here. It wouldn’t work for me on the Darden gift card and they couldn’t do anything about it.
I went there today and got a lowes and outback card, easy peasy. the lowes cards are able to loaded with a range of $25-$500 . It was in the ad for PA.
I couldnt purchase the Darden ones today either (tried to for Teacher Appreciation week). The manager asked for me to come back tomorrow & they would call corporate. (I’m guessing because today is Sunday.) I’m def going to go back & try again!
