That doorbell is awesome because and the doorbell when you push it lights up with amazing color wait you can see live on you’re phone.

On the entry level model they don’t even have to push the button. If they get within 30 feet the motion will pick them up and you will get a notification and be able to watch, listen, and speak live to them! It’s amazing…..

I am on the fence about this one simply due to the fact that I don’t know enough about all the different Ring video doorbells out there. I know there are several versions. Does anyone have any pros / cons about this particular model?

I’ve had mine for over 2 years and would buy it again on a minute. I LOVE it. Even more than a security thing I love it because I can tell what time my kids get home, and know they are home safe😃

This is an entry level model. Normally sells for 99.99 on the Ring Website. I have had mine 3 months. It’s worth every penny. Especially sense I got mine free. Email me how to get a free one. I found out how on another deal website. It actually worked!

My opinion? Unless you get the pro-version And also get it wired to your home… don’t bother!! We ( my husband & I) have poured over $800 into our Ring system (we use WiFi) & have had nothing but problems & horrible customer service. When they do get back to us, we’ve done all they said, it didn’t work, they didn’t stand behind their product ( it was & is under warranty) had to upgrade to a new model doorbell ( due to the “HD” looked worse than an old VHS ) & their system does not stream on 5G WIFI) so if you go thru WiFi your stuck on the SLOWEST old almost like dial-up speed. So definitely do your homework!!!!

The only problem I found that after the initial installation they stop storing your video for free you have to sign up for an additional service that costs.

I’ve been thinking about getting one. Is the installation difficult? Would I need to hire a handyman to install it?

    • Pretygirlygirl

Took my boyfriend less than 10 minutes to install ours. Very easy.

    • Mitch

No you can do it yourself. Comes with a screwdriver and easy instructions and videos. Took me 10 min. Very easy to install. And if you wire to old doorbell it is 2 wires dummy free as it doesn’t matter which pole you connect the wire too. Email me on how to get it free.

    • Linda

Very easy installation!!!! My teenager installed it by himself!!

I live in an area with a lot of property crime, would this be a good model to have or should I look at a different model?

    • Mitch

This is the entry model and works well. I’ve seen a bunch of shady people come to my door and then leave when they see the ring. Iv also been shocked how many people come to my door and I didn’t know it. Totally worth the peace of mind

I have had problems since I got mine. I do everything they say and it does not capture people coming on our porch, but it captures every car that comes by. It sometimes works when the doorbell rings.

    • Mitch

Change your setting in the app to less than 30 ft. Very easy to change the zones so as not to pick up cars.

I love mine. It took me 10 min to install and use the wires from our old doorbell to wire so you don’t need to charge any batteries. Or you can charge batteries once a year if you don’t hardwire. It’s one of the cheapest most effective alarm systems out there. Also it takes 2 min to adjust the motion on the app to less than 30 ft if you don’t want to pick up Cars. I’m not a tech guy and the app is great and super easy to navigate. I love my Ring and tell everyone to get one. Especially when it’s free 😉. Make sure to email me how.

I have Uverse WiFi on the original entertainment level 99.99 and it works great. Not sure why you have had so many issues. I guess if you don’t have standard WiFi it’s an issue. You are using a camera system made for WiFi use not phone signal use. 🤔

Does anybody know how loud the ringbell is?

    • LS

It’s comfortably loud. We love, love, love our Ring doorbell!

Shop QVC through the Ibotta app to purchase it and get a $10 cash back bonus, and 3% cash back on top of that.
