First Camping Trip of the Season
Sent from reader, Jen:
We took our first camping trip of the season this past weekend and are excited to plan a few more.
We bought this vintage 1966 Frolic camper a couple years ago from the Facebook garage sale site for
under $500 and are slowly doing repairs on it while making memories. My dad named it Dinky. Although it may be dinky, it does the job of making camping fun!
I picked up the letter board at Target in the dollar section for five dollars which included the letters that go with it. I will be using it on each trip to document our travels in Dinky! Let the adventures begin!
HAPPY FRIDAY!

Adorable 🙂
I love Dinky! Wishing you lots of awesome memories!
Too too cute. Have fun!
So very fun!
This is so cute and precious happy camping and great memories
We did the same thing! Ours is a 1999 travel trailer with a slide out. We ripped out all the flooring, painted everything and built bunks for our boys! Camping is the best!
That is the best $500 you have spent….the memories you are creating are priceless!! Enjoy!!
I hope you show pics of the updates to Dinky.
thats not camping… camping is when w
you sleep in camping tents
And then camping to me is having to stay at a Holiday Inn… kindness makes the world go round 😍 have a super time camping, glamping, …
or calling the suite butler for me:)
We camp in our tent at the beach. We downsized and live in a trailer in the mountains. It feels like we’re camping all the time. It’s cool!
So adorable!! I love it! Safe travels
So cute! We are looking forward to our first camping trip of the season after schools are out next week. We want to go to a few new campgrounds this season, we are in NY as well, any suggestions? Tia
Love everything about this post!!!
Good for you! It doesn’t matter if you tent camp, or go ‘glamping’ as we do now (we’ve gone from tent to pop up, to travel trailer to 5th wheel).. what is important is the quality time you get to spend with your kids and family unplugged from the day to day. Many families don’t get that kind of time together before their kids are grown. Enjoy that adorable camper and make those sweet memories! Happy camping everyone!!🏕️🏔️🏖️
What great memories you are creating! Thank you for sharing!
So cute! Everyone has their own unique trips they plan with their family. All that matters is that it’s your memories and that you are having a Fantastic time! Yours couldn’t be any cuter!
