FREE National Parks Membership for Families with 4th Graders (Through August 2018)
Use this all summer long!
If your child is in 4th grade (or the homeschooling equivalent) this year, then your family is eligible for a FREE National Parks Annual Pass valid through August 31st, 2018!
The pass grants FREE access to national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and more for your 4th grader plus all additional children under 16 AND up to three adults!
You can use this pass as often as you’d like, making this a great opportunity to visit a number of destinations this summer.
Are you a 4th grade teacher?
Fourth grade teachers and adults who lead youth-serving organizations (think home-schooling co-op, camps, youth groups, etc.) can print passes for your entire class plus download fun activities.
We just used this to get into the Black Hills and Yellowstone, saved our family $55. I have a 4th grade daughter.
So fun!
Is this for a child entering 4 th grade or for a child who just finished 4 th grade?
Also we live in FL and go back to school August 10th so I’m not sure how this applies.
Hi Lisa! This is for kiddos who were 4th graders during the 2017 to 2018 school year. It expires August 31, 2018. Hope that helps!
My son’s teacher did this for her class and it was a sweet surprise!! We can’t wait to use it!!
Anyone know why it’s just for 4th graders?
I saw a news report about this and it has to do with the fact that fourth grade is a prime year for students to learn about this type of stuff. What I am super bummed about was I thought I heard originally this is for students going into fourth grade and it would be valid for all school year…anyone conquer?
We used this last year to do an amazing 3 week RV trip through many National Parks in the west, saved us hundreds of dollars in entry fees. The rangers check that you have your 4th grader with you – they would have her come up front and wave to them or tell her that we owed her an ice cream for saving us so much money 🙂 Also, we had never camped in an RV before, but it was easy to drive and made for an awesome family experience. You can save so much time and money by camping in the National Parks (make reservations 6 months to the day in advance!) and National Forests instead of using lodges, hotels, and restaurants. We are a family of 5 and rented a 25 feet RV from Cruise America. With careful meal planning, our food bill wasn’t all that much more than it would have been at home.
They normally release a new voucher after this one expires for those going into 4th
