more excited for Target deals than Amazon🤗
Cool! 🙂 I will be interested to see how this goes!
Great! I love target!!!
Sounds good to me .
I’d rather take my chances from amazon. I’ve had the worst experience with ordering from Target.com in the last several months. Orders are missing items, they ship incorrect items, ship wrong sizes, they ship dirty/used/open/broken items, orders randomly go missing and I have to re-order. You name it, I’ve most likely had to deal with it. Its as if they don’t even check to see what is being put in the box before shipping. I spend more time on the phone with Target customer service or returning items back to the Target store, which completely defeats the purpose of ordering online to begin with (who has time to wait in line with a screaming 2 year old and 9 month old?!) I’m so over it and I’m sure I can’t be the only one who has had to deal with this, unless I’m the unluckiest person on the planet. I’ve had a few mishaps with amazon but considering how much I order from them, it’s few and far between.
I love target and order from them regularly…but I’ve had some issues too. A pack of pads instead of hair dye, the Oregon Trail game instead of King sheets, broken lash serum, smashed food, missing toothpaste, one set of sheets when I ordered two, broken jar canister etc. It does seem to be getting better, but they could stand to take some notes from Amazon with their order accuracy and packaging methods. They’re always super helpful when it comes to fixing the order, but calling in is a hassle. We don’t have a target in the area, so I don’t end up standing in lines for returns.
I get a lot of dented/damaged items for some reason, and it’s not my delivery man – the outside box will look fine. Also, I can’t even describe the fiasco I recently had trying to buy The Last Jedi Blu-ray DVD from them. First the system claimed it wasn’t eligible to be shipped to Florida. It was a glitch, but customer service couldn’t override it. Okay, so sent to my parents in another state to bring to me when they come to visit. It’s backordered for weeks, finally ships out. Then USPS claims my package is undeliverable. Customer service and I check the address, it’s correct, but customer service said they’re not allowed to directly contact USPS. So I call USPS, they claim I have to take it up with Target if I want it redelivered. 🤬 I must have wasted 3 hours on the phone with Target, who claimed initially claimed they couldn’t refund my order until they received the product back that was somewhere in mail purgatory…I had to raise bloody hell to get a refund. Target is my last resort now.
Wow I didn’t realize this was happening to so many people! I got an order and the item was open and had a repackaged sticker on it with a price 3.00 less than I paid. My sister ordered a frying pan and received a king size quilt instead. Customer service were excellent in refunding our money and we got to keep the items we received. But they didn’t have replacements for the items we ordered.
I have received broken items and incorrect products from Target.
everything has its pros and cons. i have mixed experiences with both.
I also will stick with Amazon. I used to be in Target a minimum of once a a week. Then I had several bad experiences with the manager. Even the employees were embarrassed by him. The last time I went in he was at the front stopping customers and begging them to fill out surveys. Then he walking them to the computer and stood over them while they filled it out. My cashier told me he had had tons of complaints. I finally quit going in Target. Tried placing a few orders online but they were messed up every time. Spent over an hour trying to get one order fixed. I am done. Target messed up all 4 online orders I placed in a few months and their CS was not helpful.
I too have had issues with Target.com. Ordered several items and during delivery one apparently leaked. Instead of delivering the items they returned the box to Target. Anyway one would think no problem right? Wrong! I was told I needed to reorder items BUT they were out of stock now. No substitutions and only offering a refund. Woopie as I got the items on a steal I wanted them for the same price. Very unhelpful CS was, love Amazon they are great to work with.
Looking forward to checking out the deals at both places. I have had wonderful Target CS experiences. Shocked to hear these horror stories!
I will say that in spite of my problems, their CS is always very polite, but they’re just feckless. I feel like most of the time, Target’s reps can’t do anything that I can’t already do for myself through my online account. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a Amazon CS rep that can’t resolve an issue immediately, whether it’s issuing a refund or re-sending a lost item or fixing an order that won’t go through. It doesn’t take a million “please holds” or “let me check with my manager” or “the computer system isn’t letting me change/override that,” (that’s the most frustrating one, especially when it’s clearly an error), etc. Amazon seems to give their CS more latitude to take action.
Aw man…thanks for the heads up about Target. I don’t order from there much but my experiences in the past have been positive. Wonder what’s going on? I order less from Amazon though too because I went through a period where stuff was packed improperly and broke, spilled, or was about to expire. It got to be a real hassle.
Like all things in life, YMMV. I for one absolutely <3 Target! I've been ordering from Target for 10+ years now, and have never received defective or incorrect orders. Whenever the item has been shipped late or I've had an unsatisfactory experience in some other way, CS has always been prompt to either issue a refund or gift card for the inconvenience. I don't mind calling CS and speaking to a supervisor until the issue is resolved though- sometimes you have to be persistent and not everyone is willing to do that. Also, I prefer Target since returns to the store are very easy- with Amazon, returns are a hassle since you have to ship them back.

I’m really surprised and shocked. I’ve loved the convenience of ordering through the Target app. I’ve never needed to call customer service once and I order all the time so I can’t speak to that. Wow! Just Wow!
Amazon has its act together. Can’t say that about Target.
I’m surprised too by these comments! I have had nothing but great experience with target in-store and on-line! I actually canceled my prime membership because I prefer the perks of the target read card and better quality/customer service they offer. With amazon almost every package I recieved was late, damaged, or incorrect. I also love the convenience of being able to return an item to a target store that I bought on-line without the hassle of having to ship it back! I’m excited for the sale!!😃
Same! I’ve only had great experiences with Target and I shop in-store/online a total of at least 4x a week. I do most of my shopping through Target and have never been disappointed with purchases. All my online items arrive packaged neatly and promptly.
I’m glad to find out I wasn’t the only one receiving damaged good. I’ve honestly used target.com just one time. We had ordered a piece of furniture and it had a damaged part that wasn’t gonna show when assembled, so we decided not to bother. But definitely not a good experience.
Any luck on a switch with Mario odyssey
I LOVE Target and haven’t ever had a problem with broken items or missing items. I order from there a lot you get free shipping all the time with your red card and it’s fast!! I ordered from Amazon and got a counterfeit product, not happy at all about that.
Yes, counterfeits and fake reviews are getting to be a real problem on Amazon, especially from 3rd party sellers. That said, you should definitely reach out to Amazon to tell them you got a fake product; they’d rectify that in a moment. I ordered a vehicle decal for my husband from a 3rd party seller – the description was SOOO misleading, and I returned it at Amazon’s expense and got a refund fast.
I am also surprised by all these comments I have been ordering at Target.com for at least 5 years, I have never had a problem with an order. Now with my Target credit card they give me 5% off and 2 day free shipping on almost everything.
Target stop having good sales
wow just wow
