“I signed up one week ago yesterday and I am down 6.8 lbs. This program is not rocket science, and not very hard to do, especially with the app and tracking your food.”
“I signed up last Saturday. I am loving it so far. I’ve been on the old WW before, but the new plan is great. I am working it with clean eating (due to autoimmune issues) and no fat-free or low-fat, fake sugar, etc. foods. It is easy to adapt to whatever your lifestyle of eating is and whatever foods/drinks you really want to keep in your diet… you can work it in.”
“I’m only a day in but I’m really loving this. For everyone worried it’s complicated (I was too, I don’t have a scale nor do I have any interest in weighing food lol) it really couldn’t be simpler. There’s an app where you just plug in whatever you eat and they track it for you and tell you how many points you have left – even fast food is on there. There’s also a lot of zero calorie foods (like bananas) so you won’t starve if you run out of points. It’s kinda like a game figuring out how to use your points but at the same time has you making healthier choices to save points for later.”
I joined when you posted a weight watchers online deal in January – I am down 40+ pounds! (I also work out regularly 5+ days a week in addition to following the WW program) I LOVE their new program. I needed this push to get my weight and health under control. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend it. So thanks! Another tip – once you join, if you refer a friend, you both get a free month 🙂
I joined when you posted a deal at the end of February, hoping to lose some baby weight. The program is breastfeeding friendly, which I appreciate and I’ve lost 27 lbs.
Congratulations Sarah! Glad to hear that it’s breastfeeding friendly too! 🙂
Sorry, new to this. What does the online program do?
I’m hesitant to pay anything – but what same question as Sandy…what does the online program do – is it worth paying for?
The online program allows you to type in and track your food and it calculates the amount of points you have. So everything is a certain amount of points and if you stay within your points you will loose weight. The app keeps track and does the math for you. You need to do the app or meetings or else you won’t know the point value of things. I’ve been doing it for 7 months and now it’s kind of second nature but I love it so am still paying for it.
MyfitnessPal app calculates your calories too. Just wondering if I should fork out the $40.
I have used both. But honestly I would save your money and stick with the MyFitnessPal for free. It’s all about calorie intake. Stay within your calorie goal and manage it on MyFitnessPal pal. Good luck!
I used My Fitness Pal when I lost weight once, but I prefer WW. It’s calculating more than just calories and it really helps you focus on the value of the calories you’re consuming. I also think it’s simpler, which is valuable to me right now as I’m trying to lose baby weight with 3 little kids!
It’s different, the points are based on the protein/carb/sugar ratio of a food. A 200 calorie food can easily have 10 points, which is about half your daily allotment. On the other end, lean protein, tuna, veggies are zero points. It really has changed the way I eat!
Down 15lbs! I signed up at the end of May during another promotion. Live the system!
Oh awesome! Congrats on your success! Thanks a bunch for sharing with us!
I lost 50 lbs on WW 12 years ago. Maintained for 10 years but then hit a phase of stressful life changes and put back on 20 or so…I tried My Fitness Pal and Online WW on and off with minimal success. I went back to meetings during the January promotion and successfully took the 20 back off. For me, it’s an “appointment” with the scale. Listening to others that struggle and getting fresh ideas on food and lifestyle changes are the difference for me. I’m a BIG believer in the program, I FEEL so much better!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us! Good to know what has worked best for you!
