I was looking into the 7 in 1, how is this one different?

  2. Y

I have the same question too. Im not an instant pot expert. How is this different from the one sold at Kohls last week? with 6 quarts, i paid almost $80 afrer coupons.

  3. NikkiLLM5

I’d love to know the difference too please.

  4. Sabrina

This one has 7 temp settings the other one has 12 that is about the only difference

    • y

Sabrina, thank you for your input. Do you really use all of 12 temp settings a lot? or only minimum amount of settings…thank you very much!

  5. Renee

The Instant Pot Duo has a yogurt button, the lux does not

  6. katie

This model does not have the yogurt setting, or low pressure. setting. Not many recipes call for low pressure (I have never seen one) HTH!

    • y

thank you, Katie. This is helpful!

I have googled the difference and Renee was absolutely correct. Here is the quote from the website (https://www.corriecooks.com/instant-pot-ip-duo-60-vs-instant-pot-ip-lux-60/):

The DUO has a high and low setting and the LUX only has High
The DUO can make yogurt and the LUX cannot
You can manually set the keep warm function on the DUO to 99 hours and 50 minutes but only 10 hours for the LUX
The DUO has a way of holding the lid open so that condensation and food splatter from the lid doesn’t get on your counter

Eggs, some kinds of veggies, and fish should be cooked on Low pressure for the best taste and texture…the DUO goes on sale often so the price difference b/w that and the LUX isn’t drastic. I’d highly recommend it over the LUX.

  9. Tammy Ewry

I own 3 of the Duo and highly recommend it — we make our own yogurt every week!!! Definitely worth having!

Okay, I broke down and ordered one. At the very least, ordering one stops me from looking at the posts, reading reviews and looking at the listing, on Walmart. com – LOL. I want to try out some of the fast recipes I keep seeing online. Let’s just hope that this doesn’t take a place, next to the hot dog and bun toaster I bought for Christmas. I’ve only used that thing one time.

  11. Ivette Aviles

The duo came out to $60 with the previous deal a Kohl’s, I don’t have their CC my friend got it for me, great deal.. now I really need to start using it.

  12. Jen

How do I get the $49 deal? I just went to Amazon and don’t see it? Can you please help?
    Thank you

Hi Jen! This sale appears to be over. 🙁 Hopefully it will come around again soon so you can snag it!
