Save hundreds annually with senior discounts when you’re over the age of 50! In fact, we’ve got 40+ restaurants, retail shops, grocery stores, movie theaters, and other places offering senior discounts that make growing older better pretty terrific! 😊

*Note that these offers and discounts may vary by location and may require an AARP membership (see below). It’s always a great idea to call ahead and ask about a senior discount – wherever you’re going!

TIP #1: Sign up for an AARP membership! This club is essential to unlocking senior savings and discounts and annual memberships start as low as $12 per year (only $1 per month)!


TIP #2: Always ask before you make a purchase! Many places do not voluntarily offer discounts unless they are requested, and franchise establishments may have varying offers by location.

1. Albertsons

Albertsons may offer a 10% discount on the first Wednesday of each month for those 55 and up. Contact your local store as this offer may not be valid at all locations.

2. AMC

Guests aged 60 and up can get discounted ticket prices at participating AMC theatres!


3. American Airlines

American Airlines and American Eagle may offer Senior Fares in some domestic markets for seniors 65 years or older. Call American Airlines Reservations at 1-800-433-7300 for more details.


4. Applebee’s

Those who are at least 60 and up may be able to get 10% to 15% off at participating locations. This deal may require a Golden Apple Card, so be sure to call your local store to verify participation.

5. Arby’s

Seniors age 55 or older may be able to get a 10% discount. Some locations also offer a free drink. Contact your local restaurant to verify participation.


6. Best Western

Guests 55 and older can save 10% or more on room rates at Best Western Hotels & Resorts. Book your stay at over 4,100 hotels worldwide and enjoy complimentary breakfast, FREE Wi-Fi and more.


7. Bonefish Grill

AARP Members can visit Bonefish Grill and save 10% off your dining bill (excluding alcohol, applicable taxes and gratuity). To receive your 10% discount, just show your valid AARP membership card during dinner, lunch, or Sunday brunch at any participating Bonefish Grill locations.

8. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Present your AARP membership card at any participating Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant and save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.


9. Carabba’s Italian Grill

AARP members can visit Carrabba’s Italian Grill any day of the week to save 10% off your entire dining bill (excluding alcohol, applicable taxes, and gratuity).


10. CiCis Pizza

Many CiCis stores do offer senior discounts. However, since most of the stores are individually owned, discounts vary from location to location. Contacting your local Cicis to inquire about discounts.

11. Cinemark

Cinemark offers a Senior Day discount price on participating days, valid for any movie, any showtime (excludes Cinemark XD, Xtreme, IMAX and Special Engagements). Check your local theatre box office for pricing and participation information.


12. Days Inn

Guests 60 years and older are invited to enjoy special savings off their Best Available Rate when they stay at participating Days Inn hotels. Plus, AARP members save 10% off the best available rate.


13. Denny’s

AARP members can visit Denny’s any day of the week to save 15% off your entire bill at participating Denny’s locations. This offer cannot be combined with other discount offers on the same check.

14. Fred Meyers

Seniors 55+ get a 10% discount during Senior Events on private brand groceries and nutrition including Fred Meyer, Kroger, Simple Truth (& more brands), apparel, shoes & accessories, most electronics, Fred Meyer Jewelers, and ALL Home goods, including Toys, Sporting Goods, Auto & Garden.


15. Goodwill

Every Tuesday is Goodwill Senior Savings Day where seniors age 60 or better receive a 10% discount on donated merchandise.


16. Harris Teeter

Shop at Harris Teeter and use your VIC card every Thursday for a 5% discount, if you are 60 or over.

17. Hertz

Travelers 50 and over can save up to 20% off base rates every day as part of their Fifty Plus Program. Plus, take advantage of additional program benefits.


18. Hyatt

Save up to 50% on prevailing rates at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts in the continental U.S. and Canada. To qualify for the Senior Citizen Rate, you must be 62 years of age or older with valid identification at check-in. Senior citizens may only book one room at this rate during their stay.


19. IHOP

IHOP offers a special 55+ menu with appropriately sized and priced options — available anytime! Plus, participating locations offer Senior Specials on select days and times, such as 50% off any regular menu item, buy one entree get one entree free, 20% all regularly priced menu items, and more.

20. Jiffy Lube

Some Jiffy Lube service centers offer a senior citizens’ discount, but this discount varies from location to location. Please call ahead to your local Jiffy Lube to determine if a discount is available.


21. KFC

If you’re 55 or older, you may be able to get a free small drink with the purchase of an entree.


22. Kohl’s

Kohl’s offers a special 15% discount every Wednesday in their stores. The special discount is valid in-store only for customers aged 60 or better. Please see a store associate for additional details.

23. Krispy Kreme

Participating locations may offer 10% off for customers 50 year or older (age and discount amount may vary by location). Contact your local store to verify participation.


24. Landry’s, Inc Restaurants

Show your AARP membership card to enjoy a 10% discount off food and non-alcoholic beverages at participating restaurants.


25. Marriott

If you’re 62 years or older, you can save 15% or more on your room rate at Marriott brand hotels worldwide, seven days a week. Discounted rooms are offered on a space-available basis; a maximum of two rooms can be reserved per stay.


26. McCormick & Schmick’s

Show your AARP membership card at any of their 58 McCormick’s family restaurant locations to save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.

27. McDonald’s

Most McDonald’s locations provide seniors discounted coffee and beverages every day, but since they’re individually owned, be sure to check with your favorite location.


28. Michaels

If you are age 55 years or older, take 10% off your entire Michaels purchase including sale items every day (exclusions apply). Simply present a valid ID at the register. See Store Team Member for details.


29. Outback Steakhouse

AARP members can visit Outback Steakhouse any day of the week for lunch or dinner and save 10% off your entire dining bill (excluding alcohol, applicable taxes and gratuity).


30. Rainforest Cafe

Next time you’re visiting Rainforest Cafe remember to present your AARP membership card and save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages. May not be used in conjunction with the Company Loyalty Program (Landry’s Select Club). Does not apply to tax, gratuity, or gift card purchases. Valid for Member and up to five family members or guests (parties of six or fewer).

31. Regal Cinemas

AARP members can pay $9.50 for Regal ePremiere Tickets purchased online (conditions apply). Tickets are valid at all Regal Entertainment Group locations nationwide for all movies and showtimes.

Plus, AARP members can save $3 on any small or larger popcorn and soft drink combo at Regal Cinemas. Members must also be a Regal Crown club member and show both their AARP membership card and their Regal Crown Club card at the time of purchase.


32. Rite Aid

The first Wednesday of every month is dedicated to senior events and savings at Rite Aid, including:

  • 20% off non-prescription purchases that day for all wellness65+ members
  • Special monthly activities with a different health topic each month
  • Featured products and information just for seniors

33. Saltgrass Steak House

The next time you’re dining at Saltgrass Steak House, remember to present your AARP membership card and save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.


34. Showcase Cinemas

Showcase Cinemas offers patrons 60 years of age and older a discounted price, at select cinemas, every Wednesday. The reduced price applies to all movies, including MX4D, XPlus, IMAX, and RealD 3D.

35. Southwest Airlines

Travelers 65 years of age or over may get Senior Fares through Southwest Airlines. Get details on fares, limitations, and any restrictions regarding reservations on Southwest.com from a Southwest Airlines Customer Representative or a travel agent.


36. Tanger Outlets

AARP members get a free Tanger coupon book with up to $1,000 in savings offers from brand-name retailers when they show their AARP membership card at Tanger Shopper Services.


37. TCBY

Participating locations offer those aged 55 and over 10% off their entire purchase price.

38. Ticketmaster

AARP Members can save on tickets to select shows and events. Offers include 2 for 1 tickets, value 4-packs, tickets under $40, and more.


39. United Airlines

United offers senior fares to selected travel destinations for passengers who are 65 and older. Ask for more details on these great fares when you make your reservation or select the seniors (age 65 and older) category when you make your booking on united.com.


40. Walgreens

The first Tuesday of every month is Senior Savings Day at Walgreens. Seniors 55+ can get 20% off all regular priced eligible items, valid in-store or online. Balance Rewards card required for discounts.

Participating locations may offer 10% off your order or a discounted drink at most locations. Call your local store for participation details.


42. Whataburger

Whataburger may offer seniors a free 8-ounce coffee or a small drink with the purchase of a meal.


43. Wyndham Hotels

Guests 60 years and older are invited to enjoy special savings off their Best Available Rate when they stay at participating Wyndham hotels and resorts.

If you're wanting to print a certain deal, blog post, or the Weekly Store Matchups from your HIP list, click on the small blue printer icon in the upper right corner of the HIP list. This will allow you to customize the information that you want or don't want to include when printing from your HIP list so you're only printing the information that's most important to you! If there are deals (or portions of deals) that you are not interested in printing, just click on the red x button to remove them.
