I have this type of wagon for my granddaughter and we love it. It’s roomy and is easy to fold up and pack away or lays flat to pack into a car. There isn’t much padding on the seats, but a blanket would solve that problem if it’s an issue.
I have a similar one from Academy & I use it for my kids at the zoo & such all the time.

I’d recommend returning it to Academy. It was most likely a defective wagon. We’ve had ours for almost 2 years and use it 2-3 times a week for baseball and other activities. It is in great shape! This has been one of the longest lasting wagons we’ve owned. I highly recommend it, especially for sports families who have a ton to lug around every weekend!
