This is an inkjet printer. Look at the price of ink!!!! Sure you can get on Ebay/Amazon a bit cheaper but a Laser printer which uses toner is the way to go. My Brother laser printers – one $9.00 cartridge yields over 2600 copies whereas the ink cartridge for this printer yields 260 copies. Be glad you missed this deal!

I’ve had a Brother black and white laser printer that is close to 10 years old. I got it at Staples for $70. It’s still going strong! The model is HL-2140, so I don’t know if they still make it, but I’m sure there’s a similar one. Sandy is right, laser is the only way to go if you want to save money.

I’m with Kristine regarding the Brother laser printers as well. I still have my HL-2140 from over a decade ago! I also have the Brother HL-5470DW which is an air printer (wireless) so I can print off my iPad and iPhone. Look on Amazon, Best Buy and Staples. Put them in your cart and check often for price reductions (especially Amazon as their prices fluctuate throughout the day). HTH
