Through October 15th, Gap Inc. Visa Credit Cardholders can purchase a new Costco One-Year Gold Star Membership for $60 and receive a $60 statement credit – making the membership free!
Simply head here, and purchase a Costco Gold Star One-Year Membership using your Athleta Visa Credit Card, Banana Republic Visa Credit Card, Gap Visa Credit Card, Old Navy Visa Credit Card or Gap Inc. Visa Signature Credit Card for payment.
You will then receive a certificate to print out and bring in to your local Costco to activate your membership and your $60 statement credit will be applied within two billing cycles.
Note that this offer is only valid for new Costco members. To qualify as a new member, an existing Costco membership must be expired for 18 months or more.
So it could be our old navy card too right?
I don’t find any details mentioning the Old Navy Card as an option. It appears to be valid for the Gap Inc.Visa Credit Card only. Hope that helps!

My Costco membership just ran out and I have a gap card so I got super excited but then I saw the new members only thing 🙁 darn!
I don’t know if it works the same way with Costco, but I was able to get a “new” membership to Sam’s Club before the required 6 months was up by signing my husband up as the primary member. Might be worth a try, especially if you’re planning on renewing your membership anyway.

I’m a Banana Republic Visa holder and I received this offer in an email. I can’t guarantee it, but usually these types of offers are for GAP inc brand cards, so Old Navy and BR should be included.

Just chatted with Costco customer service and they confirmed this deal would apply to ALL Gap family brand credit cards, so yes that would include Old Navy and Banana Republic.

I’d like to know this too. It does allow you to check a box for a gift purchase, so I’m guessing it’s allowed. Would like to be sure before purchasing, though.

Does anyone know when other Costco membership offers come out? I know last year there were a couple where you get a cash card back and free products etc. Do they do that every fall?

The fine print doesn’t, but she led me to the top of the page that says Exclusive Offer for select Gap Inc. Visa members.
She said the word select means only those who got an email offer. The membership program people I talk to when I call or email says it’s for everyone with a gap inc credit card, but with Costco not agreeing with them it makes me more nervous to sign up!
I hear ya Jill! You just never know– sounds like they didn’t have their marketing strategy fulled planned! I have a BR visa and might sign up. If I don’t get the CC statement credit, I’ll just request a refund from CostCo. 🙂
I have an old navy credit card. It doesn’t say visa on it though. Doesn’t have an expiration date either. I’ve had this card for many years. Does this card not apply? On the costco website it wants the expiration date.
I have the same type of card. The cards that don’t have VISA on it most likely can’t be used for this deal because they are store only cards and can’t be used at other stores for purchases. Only those who opted or upgraded to a full old navy VISA should be able to use their card at other stores like Costco.
