Remember don’t get cheaply made shoes for your kids just because they are cheap or you will regret it when they become adults and have foot problems.

      Casey you are exactly right!

I grew up poor, my parent couldn’t afford a nice branded shoes for us, still all of their children don’t have any foot problems until now and we’re in our 40s. There are a lot of things contributing foot problems. And a lot of things are made in China now, even the expensive ones. So, IMHO as long as they’re comfortable, despite the price tags, I will get them for my kids anyway. Not to mention they outgrow the shoes so fast 🙂 It’s time to stock up.
      Thank you, HIP2SAVE!

It’s not so much the foot problems they are so cheap they don’t even last a month or two sometimes! They are worthless! I usually go on eBay and name brand toms or boots for 50-75% off

I would like to disagree with this statement. We grew up on Kmart and Payless shoes and thank God do not have feet problems. Unless you get an injury, have diabetes or other diseases that leads to nerve disorders, any pair of shoes will be fine. There are billions of ppl around the world who cannot afford a branded pair of shoes.

Couldn’t agree more! If you have cheap shoes as a child it doesn’t mean you will definitely have foot problems as an adult, but it is more likely.
Plus, Target shoes are cute and all, but poor quality, thin soles, and break easily. Buy one or two good pairs instead of five bad ones.

Just because shoes are cheap doesn’t mean they are all cheaply made. These shoes are actually very comfortable and the quality is not bad either. They actually have pretty good support just depends on your arch for me I have no issues. I can wear them all day on my feet and end of day my feet dont hurt at all.

The unbranded and cheaper brands of today are of nicer quality and more conducive to a child’s foot than that of the expensive “quality” brands like Stride RIte of of the 80s (what was popular then). I pulled out a pair of shoes that my husband wore a a child and they were hard as a bored with little kinetic support (they were Stride Rite and “good” shoes were VERY important to his parents). I actually got a pair these Cat and Jack tennies, and I was surprised at the quality. The cushion and flexibility was great. We’ve had them for several months, and they are holding up fine. I plan to get more.

Not all have the money to buy expensive shoes, cheap ones are better than nothing at all to put on you or your kids feet 🙂
