I have this exact model and didn’t like it started pilling look of less than a year into and I wouldn’t use it everyday only on weekends when we would go out as a family…Positive its comfy and secure!

Eddie Bauer has a fantastic warranty/return policy. Not sure if you bought it from Amazon or Eddie, but I would still reach out to them and ask about your options. They helped me with strappy sandals I found at Marshall’s that had a broken strap.
We have two of these and I love them. The fabric isn’t cold/slick/plasticy feeling, which is a huge concern for me because I have latent sensory issues… ha ha. I don’t think my kids care but I do! I haven’t noticed the pilling but honestly with two toddlers and a newborn, I’m not noticing much.
I give them two thumbs up and I’ve had friends comment that they are easier/nicer than the ones they have.
