Let’s be honest…
After reading all of that I was trying to figure out what WAS in this candy! I went and read the labels and I can happily say I can pronounce everything in it. So here’s the run down: unsweetened chocolate, cane sugar and cocoa butter. And, since this is a variety pack, here are some other included ingredients in a few of the bags: dried rice syrup, salt, rice flour, rice bran, raisin juice concentrate, and honey. That’s it!

Does anyone know if the individual pieces are in standard wrappers or are they in Halloween wrappers? I’d like to use some for Halloween and save some for Valentine’s Day and Easter.
Amy, I think they look just like the ones in the picture that are outside of the bag. You can kinda see through one of the bags and it looks the same to me.
These are great! I’ve had all these flavors and they’re all good – comparable to any non-allergy friendly chocolate. I’m personally allergic to tree nuts and sunflower but developed food allergies as an adult, so I’ve had both and can attest that these are great alternatives. I’d just say if you get these (and/or choose to provide non-food options for the Teal Pumpkin project) to make sure you keep all three (these Enjoy Life treats, non-allergy friendly treats, and/or the non-food items) in separate bowls. Also, if you do eat some candy yourself that night (even the Enjoy Life treats, since some kids are allergic to some of those ingredients) to wash your hands afterwards. It’s an extra precaution, but it could cut down on cross contact of potential allergens (ex: if you eat a Butterfinger and later put your hand in the non-food item or Enjoy Life bowl, you could potentially still have peanut residue on your hands, which could cause a reaction if a peanut allergic child touches it.) But whether you get these or consider offering non-food items, just know that it’s really, really appreciated by those that are food allergic.
Great advice! As a food allergy mama, I wholeheartedly support everything you said. Thanks for sharing!
Totally agree with everything you said!
