Does anyone have this and use it for scanning only? I have a stack of old pictures I want to scan in and I’ve been waiting for a good deal on a scanner, I have a laser printer so don’t need that part.
I used the free app Photoscan by google photo, and it worked perfectly for scanning old photos on my iPhone. It eliminates glare as well. From your phone you can then back them up to your computer. I hope that helps!

So this IS eligible for instant ink program? I am trying desperately to determine if it is–if so this is a GREAT deal!! I would not buy a printer that I can’t use with that program. However I’m having trouble verifying if it is compatible.

I checked the list at HP’s website. It doesn’t seem like this is instant ink compatible (if that affects anyone’s decision to purchase).
It says it is Instant Ink eligible. If you click on the 6th picture on the Amazon website you will see that it is.
I LOVE Instant Ink -if you are on the fence about it – it is worth it!!

Instant ink is a program HP has that you use a credit card to sign up for and you choose how much ink and when you want it sent to you on a regular basis
Its a monthly subscription with a plan that start’s at i think $2.99 or $3.99 for 50 prints. If u dont print that much and cant finish d 50 prints it will be rolled over d month. HP will be sending ink replacements in d mail. It claims having this plan u’ll save at least 50% from buying HP ink at d market.
No you do not have to use it, I don’t. I bought last years version of this printer for this price from Best Buy(thanks to Hip2Save) and have loved it. It has printed so many coupons😉 and I have only had to buy ink once or twice in a year.

I only use HP ink. In my area I pay about $12 for black and $13 for color. I usually purchased when it’s on sale at Fred Meyer and pay about $20 once or twice a year depending on how many coupons I print 😉
