The shape and size of Duke Cannon’s Big Brick soap was inspired by the rough cut, “brick” style of soap issued to G.I.’s during the Korean War. It is produced in the same U.S. Based, family-owned plant that was the sole supplier to the military during that era.
Word of warning – check your receipts if you do this deal. I did it earlier today (before seeing this post) – and it rang up and only ended up giving me 33% off the soap (even though the receipt said 40%). The “free” $5 gift card was throwing off the calculation and I ended u paying over $18 for the bars ($20 with tax actually). I had to go to customer service and have them fix it (the cashier actually couldn’t figure out what happened and just ended up giving me a $5 refund).
