If you get a 60% coupon from Michael’s (usually pops up during Black Friday) it makes a great deal for film. If you would rather get bulk, Amazon is awesome too. Regular price, it is $1 per pic. On sale, I find it 30 cents a pic. This camera has a learning curve so you will ruin a lot of film; try to get it as cheap as possible.

That’s what I thought. I buy mine at Walmart $12.60 for 20’s.(2×10)
Check out Groupon. It’s constantly the cheapest film I’ve found. They sell various bundle deals, but I always buy the 3 double packs (60 exposures in total) for $39 and wait for a 10-20 percent off coupon which brings it down to $5 and some change for a pack of film and as low as 52 cents. Is there any reason to NOT get this older model? My daughters have been wanting one and I don’t care if it’s a new or old model as long as it functions like it’s supposed to.

My daughter wanted this for Christmas but since she has a camera on her iPhone I bought the hp sprocket instant printer so she can print her photos out from anywhere. If she’s together with friends or whatever. It doesn’t take ink and the photo paper wasn’t to badly priced at Best Buy. The paper is sticky so you can stick them anywhere. I think she will enjoy it a lot more.

We had bad experience with camera also, pix never had good color no matter the lighting. We’re going to try the 9 when it goes on sale. hoping better quality plus it has selfie option
So, these are fun, but the film is quite pricey. That said, I really wouldn’t buy one for a young kid. You will go through 10 dollar film in a day, and it ends up being quite pricey.
