what is the diffeerence between 7 in 1 and 6 in 1, can anyone explain

    • Sonu

6 in 1 is kissing the yoghurt making function.

      • Sonu

        *missing

      • Sonu

I meant missing the yoghurt function.

    • Jac

As I understand, the 7th function on the 7 in 1 is yogurt maker (great feature that I use all the time!).

  2. Sarah

What’s the difference between duo and lux?

  3. Donna

I’m really looking for an 8 quart. Family of five here

    • heather

Just a plug here- family of 6, and I have the 6qt and the 8qt-i actually use the 6qt more often. We also have leftovers a lot.

      • Hannah

Same with us. Family of 6 (all boys!) and we still have leftovers with the 6qt.

        • Donna

          Thanks everyone!

        • Laura

Thank you! I have 3 boys and a husband with healthy appetites. I was afraid the 6 qt wouldn’t be big enough for us, but I think you’ve convinced me. 😊

    • Tara

Macy’s has the 8QT Duo for $80 today. Do no rush shipping and get $10 back in Macy’s Money.

Just to let everyone know, I ordered this through Amazon over the weekend for $59.99 so I thought I’d just send it back& order this for $10.00 less, well good thing I checked Amazon will charge me $13.00 to return it! Come on Amazon!!!!

    • bb

So you want Amazon to pay your shipping so that you can save $10 and they can lose on your shipping? If there was something wrong with it yes, but not just because you changed your mind.

      • Jim

For items that have not even shipped, they should price match. Otherwise you could refuse the first shipment and they would eat that shipping cost and pay for shipping the new item, too. It’s just good business to match prices for the next day.

    • Angie

I ordered two for $59.99 over the weekend. One for me and another as a gift 🙁 . I should’ve waited.

    • Carleen R

Did you purchase it with a credit card? You might have price protection

For those who have an Instapot, is the 7-in-1 a better purchase than the 6-in-1? It seems like it has more features.

    • Jen

The lux doesn’t have the yogurt feature or the ability to cook on low pressure. I never use low pressure but I’m all about making yogurt, so I needed the duo model.

      • April

I’m sure there’s still a way to use for making yogurt. I’ve made yogurt in my crock and if this can be used as a crock pot I’m sure it can make yogurt too

    • Heidi

I don’t think so unless you are planning on using the Instant pot to make yogurt. I have this one and it’s work great to make wonderful food. It’s a great way to make fast and good food. If you buy one, join the FB group. They know everything about the Instant Pot.

The 7-in-1 has 2 options that the 6-in-1 lacks: low pressure and a yogurt function. Low pressure is ideal for delicate foods that you want to cook in the IP…eggs, fish, and veggies. And homemade yogurt is incredible. So I went w/ the 7-in-1, b/c I’d rather have 2 options that I don’t use often than not have those options at all! The price difference b/w the two isn’t significant either- maybe $10, when comparing the lowest price for each.

Just ordered one as a Christmas gift for my bestfriend. Thank you for the info

      Yay! You’re so welcome!

  7. Olivia Douglass

I bit the bullet and ordered it….. I figured I would give it a shot at this price!

  8. Sarah

The ultra one 6 qt is priced for $85 in amazon.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks Sarah!

Does anyone have any idea how long this deal will be available??

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

We aren’t sure of the end date on this so if you are interested you might want to go ahead and snag it!

To note today I realized the handles are different. My sister-in-law chose the duo for me too gift her vs the letters x because of better handle style and can use low setting for proofing bread.
