On the fence? Here’s what Hip2Save readers think…

LOVE these speakers! We have two of them and just bought the new one with Bluetooth as a Christmas gift! Great little speakers, love using it to set timers, reminders, alarms, ask for measurement conversions, recipes, ask the weather, play music, make a list and turn our lights on and off!

I have this and it’s 10x better than Alexa. Can understand and find my answers with more accuracy too. Plus my girls agree Google sings happy birthday better too 😛

Every morning my 10 year old comes to the kitchen and says “Google, what is the weather today?”. 🙂 and then decides what she will wear!

I got this last year in December – it works great and my son uses it to help with homework and the sound quality of the music is amazing!

We bought this a couple of weeks ago on sale. For the people who have this device, when the alarm sounds does the light on it flash for a period of time even after you tell Google to turn the alarm off? We’re trying to figure out why this happens with our device, don’t know if it’s a flaw or not.

    • Jackie

No, after you tell it to stop it stops. Both light and sound.

To the poster above we have this and ours does not do that. We got it free with with the waffle iron deal Posted in here from best buy last year during the holidays. We love it, works great and sound quality is amazing

    • Renee

Thanks Rn and Jackie. Must be a flaw in our device. Everything else has worked fine so far!

  3. Melissa

We have really enjoyed ours. It’s an alarm clock for the kids and they ask what the temperature is every morning. Thanks for posting this great deal

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You’re welcome! How neat! I bet my kids would enjoy that too!

Do you need to subscribe to something like you do with Amazon with an Echo Dot? Does this play music if you ask Google?

    • Rn

Yep….ask it to play any type of music and the free listings of what they have will play🙂

    • Tracy

It will play free music from Google Play music (not all songs available). You can also link it to a music service account and it will play from that (Pandora, Spotify). It will also play a radio station.
We have had ours one year and use it multiple times a day.

I bought this a few weeks when it was posted and I love it! Very good sound and it has worked well as an alarm clock.

Ok you are KILLING me!!! I already had one for my bedroom and paid close to full price. Then you posted like a month ago these for $20 so I got one for each of my kids for Christmas (hopefully this will help them get out of bed faster during those cold school mornings) and now I decided to get another one for the guest bedroom…that’s 5 of these for one household 🤪. Plus we also have Alexa and google home (purchased before the clocks) and I don’t need those anymore

Love it! My daughter has it in her room & puts on ocean waves when she goes to bed every night. Use it for weather, random questions, music, pretty much everything! Well worth $24.00.

  8. LISA

Does anyone know what the difference is between this and the Google mini?

    • Kim

They are very similar in function except this one is bigger and displays the time (and temp when asked)

  9. Kate

THANK YOU! Finished shopping for my dad, had $10 in rewards somehow (must be from a BF Chromebook purchase?) so I only paid $16.19 shipped!

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You’re so welcome Kate! Glad you were able to snag those additional savings too! 🙂

What’s the difference between this and an echo?

  12. Christina

I do not own any smart home device so not sure how they work. Do you connect it to your phone or just your home wifi?

  13. Kimmie V.

I own 2 of these and 2 of the larger portable ones and they are wonderful! Well worth the cost and if you get them on sale, even better!!! Love, love, love! 🤗

  14. Robin

    Found 20% off code, holiday8.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! That one doesn’t seem to be working for me! I’m glad you were able to use it though!

      • Karla

        Code works with google checkout
