Be aware that iOS 9 will not allow you to download some newer games. We have 2 of these and we need to upgrade for a newer one because of that. Also it makes it slower

16 gb is the deal breaker for me. I only have a few movies, some games and books, and my older 16 gb is at full capacity. But that is a goooood price.
Agree. If you like playing games go with iPad Pro. iPad mini, which I have, is good for streaming Netflix and Surfing Fb.

16GB is not going to get you much of anything. I purchased my daughter a new iPad for Christmas this year (128GB) to replaced her original iPad Mini from several years ago because it is only 16GB. She can barely have anything on the iPad anymore and Roblox doesn’t work on it due to space constraints.
The problem with 138gb is that you will have to upgrade your iCloud storage also. It’s a pain because that costs extra every month, I’m having that issue with both my phone and one of my iPads. I got 32gb IPad during BF and it should be fine.

Does anyone know what Gen this is? Wanting to know if it would be good for 5 yr old and 2 yr old to share.
It doesn’t say but the fact you can only update to iOS 9 tells me its first gen. It would work for little ones like yours. If you have older kids you need something bigger than 16gb

I bought the mini 4 for my 5 and 6 year old. I primarily wanted to introduce them to coding and almost all the coding toys required ios 10. I’m still nervous about it since they quit making them in 2015 that they will be obsolete soon but I just couldn’t swing the extra $ for two regular ipads.
