What size would you recommend for a family of six?
I bought the stainless steel 6 quart Gourmia on BF for $35 (I’m factoring in $15 KC) and I’ve cooked chicken, breaded pork chops, salmon, fries, I love it!!!! Easy to use and easy to clean. But even the 6 quart I have to do things in batches for a family of 5. Get a bigger one if you can Shelby. 🙂
5 qt definitely
I would get even bigger than 5. We are two adults and sometimes my 5.3 qt ( I have one from this post) is not enough. If I am trying to prep both meat and side dish in AF at the same time, it’s not gonna work. Last night I did wings in the AF and fries in the oven. As soon as I can I will buy another one.

I do I love it. I’ve done wings, pork chops, lamb chops, fries…. I find it’s really only big enough for two adults but I can only usually do one item at a time.

Anyone have trouble with nonstick in the basket peeling?
Kat, if using PAM spray oil it will cause basket to peel. Aerosole is the one to blame. This is why everyone is recommending to use spritzers.
I use MISTO. I have my AF over a year and the basket isn’t peeling.
