I placed 2 prime 2 day shipping orders on Sunday. One came yesterday and one is stuck in a post office an hour away… Delayed for 2 days…. So I wouldn’t bank on it!
I agree. I ordered 2 day prime shipping on Sunday and my package is not going to be here until Friday. I am not complaining, but just know that some things may not make it in time even with these posted deadlines.
Just getting started…😁
I was just told by dearfoams that FedEx is giving delivery dates for the last possible day they can. It might come sooner, but might not. My estimated delivery date is December 24th for teacher gifts that I ordered 🤦♀️
I got my Dearfoam order yesterday. That’s strange.
I ordered from amazon (prime) on sat to have my package monday. I was home ALL day and got an email alert that my package was undeliverable, because i had moved !! The most ridiculous excuse ever, especially since they left the rest of my mail addressed to me in the box !! Ive lived here for yrs and my regular mail carriers know me well. Thankfully my “in limbo” gift wasnt super pricey, since amazon told me i had to contact carrier, yet USPS told me it was out of their hands once deemed undeliverable.
But my monthly prime membership ends on the 20th. I will NO LONGER be a prime member. Ive had very little faith in delivery by dates but this incident is beyond comprehension..LOL
I agree, I’ve been a prime member for years and have ordered 100’s of items no problem. The last 2 months out of the 30 items I ordered, 14 of them were delayed a week past when they should have been delivered. For one of them they had a fedex man contact me and he laughed and said they are a nightmare to deal with. AND the item they had fedex call me on was never even mailed out from their facility but she insisted she had to check with fedex. When I told him that he just laughed. (Very nice guy) After reading reviews on fb, and on here I can see that I am among the thousands of people that are not alone. I always boasted about my prime membership to friends and family but after the past 2 months I’m sad to cancel when my year is up. 🙁
If Amazon does not make it by the delivery date, there is a place/form to let them know. They will end up extending the (more & more worthless) Prime membership by a month each time.
Someone mentioned Target. I have no idea how they think they can compete with the way they ship stuff. Separated 2 Voortman cookie packages from the rest of the order, and mailed each separately on 2 different days for travel across the 75% of the USA. All items took over a week to get.
Then a company on eBay that I bought 3 of the same item of, is mailing each in an box that could easily fit all 3 & then some (way to automated). I hate unnecessary laws, but they companies should be fined for being stupid with shipping supplies.
And UPS, one of the larger dingleberries this year, won’t hold the packages I really need held at the UPS sort facility. What is the point of My Choice program if it is really Their Choice? Might have to leave my (mostly) toothless dog out scare him away
Amazon stopped extending Prime memberships due to late packages in July. I tried the other day to get a credit and was denied.
Yeah we tried to get an extension for late package and all they did was give us a $5 credit….
Bet it was the post office, and not Amazon. Check with the post office and see if they have it. Ours will do that and leave a colored slip in the mail box because the package won’t fit, and then we need to go pick it up.
I need help! My husband went to USPS today and they told him that our gifts were going to be $200 to ship. Its about 12 gift boxes. What’s the best way to ship?!? I was thinking that we could put it in a bigger box and ship it Fedex but I’m not sure. Thank you!!
Yeah it’s super pricey unless you’re using priority mail boxes.
Another possibility is Flat Rate Shipping Boxes from USPS. For sm to med. They range $7-12ish. Its convenient because if were going to pay $200 this would be much cheaper and each recipient can receive their own box. What ever u ship in that box only cost the flat rate. U can still wrap the gifts that go in the boxes too. They do have lg boxes as well padded envelopes, so u could cut costs even more as to what u can get away with as to what sizes u need.
I tend to ramble but im hoping u catch my drift LOL Merry Christmas !!
How much do they weigh? If you have packages 16oz or less you can ship them First Class for less than $5 each. As far as priority goes there is a range for weight. So if you have a package that is just over a pound and another that is 10oz then put them together and they will ship for the same price as just the one pound package because the range is 1-2 pounds. Also if you have Paypal you can print all your USPS and UPS labels through them at a discount then just drop your pre labeled packages off at whichever carrier you chose. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/shipping-center
Nice photo “it’s about to go down” All 3Large Carriers
HA!! Ordered from target three weeks ago…two day shipping is a joke. Still not here
I wanted to let everyone know what some USPS mail delivers are doing.
They are marking off that a package has been left at the door when it NEVER WAS! ( they have a contract with Amazon they are trying to keep so this means they are lying about some of their deliveries that didn’t make it when they were supposed to ! )In the last year alone it’s happened about 3 times to us as we have a business and we get lots of appliance parts !
Be warned if it says delivered it DOESN’T mean it was !!!
I’ve been getting amazon packages left on the porch (which is fine), but the notification e-mail says, “handed to person directly.” That lie would be a problem if I ever don’t receive a package they say I did.
