My boys just got a Nintendo switch yesterday, do I have to pay for the online Nintendo account to be able to download and play a game like this?
No. The online subscription is for playing with friends online. You can buy and download games anytime.
Ok, I’m trying to figure this out, is there anyone with a switch that can walk me through how to get this? I’m a lost momma!

You can get it if you own the game for the switch. Launch the game, and on the title menu there is a “store”. They are there under holiday gifts 🙂

We were only able to get it on the Xbox after we installed the latest update to Minecraft.
I am not seeing the “Holiday Deals” in the store. I am on my windows 10 computers and searching with internet explore and google chrome. 😢😢😢

Yahoompls, I was able to score this for my kiddos on their iPad and they did already have the $6.99 app purchased. I am not sure if it will work with the free Minecraft version. Hope that helps.
If someone has been able to download it for the Switch pleaseeee let me know how you did it. I was able to access minecraft.net but when I click on the link to take me to the market place to get the bundle it is unable to display the page! 🙁
Launch the game, then on the title page for minecraft see the “store” option at the bottom of the list. Go in there, its under holiday deals 🙂
