This blanket weighs six pounds and is about the size of a sleeping bag so it makes a good throw but won’t replace a bed blanket. The outside is really soft, almost like velvet and the cover comes off so you can throw it in the wash.
I picked mine up and it’s great. I was surprised how light 6 pounds feels, but it’s what my little man’s weight chart aligns with.
A weighted blanket has been a life saver for my 7 year old nephew who experiences night terrors, nightmares, and anxiety about having nightmares. My sister says he now goes to sleep in 3-5 minutes and has only experienced one night terror in the nearly 2 months of using it.

I just got the 2 that I ordered for my daughters and while I like them, the removable cover was a bit odd. Even though the weighted bkanket inside was tied to the cover, the cover still seemed to slip around. One side of the cover was soft but the other side was very crinkly. My girls didnt like it. It is well worth the price for the weighted blanket though. I think I’m going to take the cover off and use it on top of the other small blanket they like to sleep with.
These are only $39.99 in stores. And there is a 10% off to save in the store to. Better deal if you can shop in the store.
