They are items that are imperfect

Oh awesome! So good to know, Atank! We sure appreciate you sharing your experience with the Carhartt factory seconds! 🙂

These jackets are so warm! I used to work on large animals so in the winter I needed something that was tough and warm. I’ve had mine for 5 years now and it’s still in great shape! I usually stick hothands in the pockets because they aren’t lined. They are a little chunky, but after a few wears and washes it’s less stiff.

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

So cool! Thanks for sharing your feedback, Suzanne! Sounds like the quality is awesome if they’re still in great shape after 5 years! And love your Hothands tip! 🙂

Finally, a good deal on a Carhartt jacket! I purchased one about 4 years ago for my daughter from a Hip2Save post for $26. She wouldn’t wear it. (She was going through that teenage “it’s not cool to wear a jacket in sub-zero weather” stage) so it became mine! LOVED it! So warm and comfy for western NY weather. Well, a couple of years my daughter grew up and took it back and I had to return to wearing my estate sale jacket. LOL. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

Currently dealing with the preteen stage overachieving teenager- same problem🙄 I will stand by the door 🚪 and don’t let her exit until she has her jacket on

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

LOL! I think there’s a middle age version of that won’t wear a jacket in sub-zero weather too! My husband gets on me all the time about it! Thanks for your recommendation on these jackets Jen! I might have to give in and try one! Hope you love the one on the way. 🙂

How are the sizes? I have long arms and usually wear a large in jackets would it be true to size? TIA!

All of a sudden my teen wants to wear Carhartt. LOL.

I work at the plant that makes these and they are impeccable. Usually it is where the threading needs to be changed midstream WITHOUT missing a stitch and they consider that to be “irregular. “

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh wow! Thanks for taking a moment to comment, Heather! Good to know!

      • Bunny

Amber it just came in the mail today and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s so warm and there are lots of pockets which come in handy for keys, phone, etc. I don’t normally carry a purse so my coats are my substitute purses LOL! Thank you again for posting this fantastic deal. Super happy 🙂

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! You’re very welcome! SO glad to hear how much you are loving it! Thanks a bunch for the update!

Can’t go wrong with Carhartt. I think they run a little large but that’s fine because there’s a lot of room for layering, bulky sweaters, etc. I’m “top heavy” and a large fits me fine. I normally would need a xl for a coat. I got a Carhartt for Christmas this year after wanting one for years. I live in Ohio so I might be able to wear it for 6 months lol
