I did this when I was looking for a car and it honestly was not worth the hassle. Be prepared to be at the dealership forever just for a test drive. Told them after I was not interested in the car once they showed me prices and they still took forever. And redeeming the card was also difficult.
I thank you for this input. Was considering a test drive, although a hyundai isn’t on my short list for a car purchase. Will forego and concentrate on the dealers where I am actually interested in purchasing.
I did this on the Dec 29th, I told them I only wanted a gift card. We don’t need to work numbers she said okay. I got my gift in the mail $3 dollars less bc I wanted the mail rather than email.

I acted like i was going to buy a car lol! I got the gift card!!! i was there for about half an hour and got my gift card emailed too pretty quick.
We were seriously looking to buy a car in 2017 when this deal hit! We printed the papers and took them to the dealership. We test drove a couple of cars and were almost about to purchase when something didn’t feel right about the deal. The dealership said they submitted our papers and we should get something in the mail soon. We NEVER got a thing. We also went with a VW! The experience we had, even while legitimately car shopping, was not worth even trying for the gift card! Dealerships can be more of a hassle than it’s worth! Just an honest review here.
We just went today and let me tell you- I have been harassed by them, literally. They have called me phone, I counted total, 11 TIMES!!!! Eleven so far!!!
These things are not worth it! And they had no idea how to enter in the gift card so I’m sure we won’t be even getting one!

I would have to agree. We are here now at the dealership and have been waiting for over 45 minutes on the manager because no one knows how to issue the gift card. I won’t be doing this again. I really appreciate everything you do hip2save and thank you for trying to get us a good deal with this one but, it looks like it’s just a waste of time. 🙁
So sorry it happened to you too. I’ve wasted so much time, they literally still can’t figure out how to issue the GC,I’ve been on the phone again with Hyundai themselves, the ppl in person didn’t know what they were doing and told me I would get it in email. Never received anything, so I called Hyundai again and they can’t even take care of it. Biggest waste of time!! Never ever going to sign up for this ever AGAIN!!
