Here’s what readers think…

I have fine, straight, thin hair, and it works well for me. My hair dries straight no matter how I dry it, so for me the main benefit of using this is smoother hair than using a regular hair dryer since I can’t handle both a brush and dryer at the same time.

These are really great. I currently own one and it is the only thing I have ever used that can dry my hair without making it frizzy.

It’s actually amazing. I bought one last month because of so many recommendations. I love it, but so did my daughter. So now I have to buy another….

That Revlon hair dryer is THE BEST!!! I paid double that for it and would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Yay! SO happy you have been loving yours! I haven’t used one of these yet!

  2. Jennifer

I have one of these and it’s AMAZING! I’ve tried other dryer brushes in the past and have always been disappointed. But this one is really fantastic.

I was SO skeptical of this! Figured it was another dumb gadget that would get shoved in the closet but boy was I wrong!! Works great! My hair is super thin, unfortunately, but this thing dries it in less than 5 mins. I do a quick touch up with the flat iron and I’m done. So glad I got mine!

How cool! Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Good to know how it has worked on your hair!

  4. Rachel

I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this hair dryer! My hair has never looked or felt so smooth before using this. Do yourself a favor and get this!!!

Does this thing spin when you are drying it or just a standard brush that you pull through and dry your hair?

    • Erin

It’s a standard brush in an oval shape that is very easy to turn manually. I love mine.

This thing is AMAZING!!!! Like 10 stars!!! I ordered one on Black Friday after reading reviews and just knew it was not gonna be what I needed- I have super thick and curly/mostly wavy now hair- my hair takes FOREVER to dry- no matter if I let it air dry for hours then blow dry or straight blow dry (this takes even longer) BUT this AMAZING thing right here- takes me 10- YES 10 minutes to dry my hair AND it’s already straight and pretty smooth- I use a straightener sometimes to still curl my
Ends but sometimes nothing at all- you will NOT be disappointed!!

I got this for Christmas. I have VERY thick coarse, dry, brittle hair. Still, I straighten it because there is nothing else it will do. This brush is amazing. The best time to dry your hair is when its 60-80% air dry.

This brush gets my hair dry very quickly. The temperature isn’t adjustable there is high (hot fast) low (hot slow) and cool. I can easily flip through various stages through drying. You should always finish on cool it makes your hair shiny and has less frizz.

I never got down the skill of how to roll my hair in a round brush when blow-drying however this makes it SO easy and it does not get stuck! The brush is lightweight and I’m not struggling to hold a brush and a hairdryer. I get a nice curled down end or flipped up end. I am surprised at how close this thing gets to the head. I usually do hit my hair with a straightener after to smooth out the roots, but if I don’t have the time it still looks great!

My brush does start smoking at some point, not all the time. I think it might by typical for leaving it on high or twirling it too much. I use the cool setting and it goes away and is fine. I might reach out to Revlon to make sure nothing is wrong with it. I just didn’t want to be without one now that I have it.

Thanks, Rachel! I added that to the post.

    Target has same price $43

  10. Dawn

Does anyone know how this compares to the John Frieda hot air brush?

    • Stephanie

I personally have both and prefer the Jon F. I have normal hair not too thick not too thin with long layers. I found the Revlon to be heavy and big and didn’t work great with my hair type I guess. I got more style with the smaller John F brush

      • Dawn

        Thank you 🙂

  11. Jennifer

Thank you SO much! I just ordered this last week and I called Target and they refunded the difference 🙂 Yay!! $17 back for me!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh cool! SO glad you could grab the savings, Jennifer! You’re very welcome!

Can anyone recommend a straighter with a paddle brush? I’ve tried the flat straightener but unfortunately didn’t work for me. I badly need one but have no idea which is a great buy. Please advise, HIp2savers!!

  13. Stephanie

Thanks for the post and recommendations. I have really thick hair and suck at styling. I can’t wait to try this. 🙂

    • Beth

Sure! I actually own the one you sent the link for, not the one that this Hip deal is for. The one in your link is just a paddle brush dryer. The Hip deal is a round brush dryer. Both will dry your hair quickly, has a low-heat, high-heat and cool-heat setting. But, it’s rather tricky to get this brush in your link to add any volume or curl to your hair. It’s essentially a super powerful hair dryer (drys my between-the-shoulders hair in about 12 minutes) with a paddle brush on it. You can’t really achieve curling & volume with this one. It’s wonderful though for smooth straight hair. And, it works quickly. I have wavy to curly hair and my hair gets super frizzy when I use a hair dryer. When I use this one, my hair is so smooth, shiny and straight! I love it! I am contemplating getting the one in this Hip deal “someday” as I’d like to have options to add curl to my hair while drying it as well. But, I am certainly very, very happy with my Revlon paddle styler. If you do try it- you’ll want to dry your hair for a few minutes longer- even when you *think* your hair is dry. And, then use the cool-air setting for at least two minutes at the end, before turning off the dryer. If you do that, your hair should not be frizzy when you’re done. It’s a wonderful product! Btw, I do use a heat protectant creme on my hair before using the dryer.

  14. Patty

Yes the other commenter is right. This dryer/brush is not for getting volume in your hair. It is essentially a hairdryer-brush that will help you smooth your hair. I use it and my hair stays pretty flat with no volume but shiny.

    • Wren

      Thanks for this, Patty!

  15. Gigi

I have been eyeing this on Target.com and am so glad I waited. Thanks Hip2Save! I had it shipped at this price to my house for free, so it doesn’t have to be an in-store pick up.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Awesome! You’re welcome, Gigi!
