I got two of the 6qt size recently for a double bridal shower. They went over very well! The married women there were all excited about them. I’m tempted to pick up a couple more as we head into wedding season. : )
Thatโs a great gift and what a fabulous price. Looks like ibotta you get an extra 1% back
Excuse my ignorance lol is this the same as a slow cooker? my GF is on the search for slow cooker
thanks ๐
No worries… these gadgets are all pretty confusing! While it does have a “slow cooker” option, this pressure cooker only heats from the bottom (versus a real slow cooker, which heats bottom and sides) and isn’t best used as a slow cooker. Hope that helps!
She would love a pressure cooker as well if she doesnt own one. She just doesnt know it. Most use this before a slow cooker.
nope. Pressure cooker builds high heat and steam which gets moisture into the food and makes it cook quicker. It’s a great unit to have!
This is an amazing deal! Weโve been wanting to get one of these and at this price, itโs time! Yay! ๐
I’m wondering if this is a good brand. Any reviews?
I got one for Christmas and Iโve used it about 5 times, I love it so far. I got the 8 quart and I think k its perfect
What size is best? There seems to be more additional parts for the 6 quart, but is it big enough. any thoughts? Thanks.
I have a 6qt (different brand, but works the same) and have made huge beef roasts, entire racks of ribs, 4-5 huge chicken breasts and so much more. You really can cook a lot in the 6qt pressure cookers. Some people like to freeze meat in the shape of the pot to make it easier too! You’ll love it ๐
Thanks….There are just 2 of us eating at home on a regular basis. I am going with the 6 quart. There are a lot of accessories for these pots….mostly all 6 quarts sizes. It was the “only” 10 dollars more at Best Buy that was turning my head toward the 8 quart. The 8 quart shipped free, I’ll add more to the get to the free shipping on the 6 quart. Thanks again
The 6 qt model ending in a 8 as opposed to a 9 has a manual adjustment (low, med, high). It really comes in handy. I like my purchase, only used it 3x since I got it around Christmas. Price was right!!!๐
I wanted the 8 quart but it doesn’t look like it has a manual button. How would I know how to do recipes then if they say to use the manual button but it doesn’t have one? Is 6 quart still big enough for 5 people?
I bought the 8 qt on Monday at that price. Made beef stew and it worked great.
Yippee!!! Iโve been waiting for a great price! Just bought one – canโt wait to see what all the hype is about.
Whoo hoo! Glad you could snag one 4sproles! ๐
Thank you for posting this ๐
You’re welcome!
Is this an Instapot?
Similar to it but of different brand.
I wanted to buy the accessories for the 6 quart (lid, seals, stainless steel inner pot) but they’re sold out. Now I don’t know if I want to keep the pressure cooker. Does anyone know if Best Buy will restock or am I just out of luck? ๐
