I think you need a paper $5/$25 coupon. I tried to use the digital one last weekend with other digital coupons and it didn’t take the $5 off.

Hmm, the digital offer should apply for you when you enter your phone number in the keypad at checkout. If it doesn’t apply, be sure to mention it to your cashier. They have been helpful whenever I have had any issues applying digital offers in store. Hope that helps!

Can someone please confirm this information :
But I thought the total has to be $25 after all the other coupons have been deducted in order to get $5 off??

    • Gisette

At our DG your pre-tax total has to be at 25$ in order for the 5$ to be applied.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Stay tuned, Karen! We are going to double check this in store tomorrow!

you can’t use multiple digitals at dg
I have tried multiple times. it will void the $5 when you use their other digitals.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the comment, Brandi! We will double check this in store tomorrow and update if needed!

LOVE seeing you post deals for Dollar General!!! This is my go to store as one is close to me and I do EVERYTHING to stay out of Walmart. Would love to see more posts for Dollar General!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I love Dollar General too, Tammy! Thanks for the request! I’ll be sure to pass that along to the team!

Same here. I prefer Dollar General.

The coupon states: “Details: $25 or more (pretax) calculated after all other Dollar General discounts.” That means you have to have $25 AFTER all the other digital coupons have been applied in order to use the $5 off $25 digital coupon. It will void it if you don’t 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hmm, thanks for the feedback, Jane! We will be testing this out tomorrow to be certain!

It always works fine for myself and thousands of others in my couponing group. The $25 total is before coupons are applied (coupons work same as cash to take down total) but does have to be $25 pre tax. I’ve always taken the “after all other DG discounts” meaning their sales, etc, not coupons. If it does happen to give some problems, try using the digital coupons and a paper $5/$25 if you have one but it shouldn’t
