The cashier at the store I went to this week said they were told the goal is to have everything closed by may. She said individual stores don’t know when they will close though and they will close lower producing stores earlier.
I was in a store last week and they said they are not honoring any rewards certificates or gym bucks. Unfortunately, I have both and they were just issued last month!
This goes for Janie & Jack giftcards as well! I just went in thankfully and the manager told me they would stop honoring them Feb. 16th too.
Such a shame. This was THE store back when I had my girls 15 years ago. Such great quality and absolutely adorable clothing. Very sad!
I agree. I have found the quality of their clothes to be outstanding, along with their customer service. I have a 9 month old so I have stocked up on the next two seasons and praying she will follow her size… it’s sad to me just how many stores we seem to be loosing. Keep the employees and their families in mind too…
This has been a favorite store for me over the years as well! It was my absolute favorite back about 2012, but then each year they started doing less & less embroidery. I would go in and buy the one or 2 decorative embroidered things they still sold for years. Then, about last year all the cute little embroidered animals & stuff just stopped and I felt like it was the same type of stuff as everywhere else. I wish they would have stayed with the designs they originally had.
I agree with you. I used to spend hundreds and I stopped buying a while ago. Quality went to crap and the designs were to “hippie” for me. Sucks because their old quality was nice. Not many options left for good children’s clothes now.
Does anyone here know how to use Crazy 8 merchandise credit online? It does not have a pin, only a number and a black strip like bank cards. Thank you.
I think you can’t use these online. It also says so in the back. 🙁
I bought my first Gymboree blanket and coming home outfit nearly 24 years ago when I had my first child. It was at that moment, I knew I was in trouble 😉. As luck would have it, she was a girl and the first few years of her life she only wore Gymbo clothes. They were so, so cute and the quality/details was bar none. My second daughter wore a few hand me downs but because one was born August and the second came in March, I got to shop all over again. It feels like part of me is disappearing. I know it’s just clothes but they were some of the cutest clothes ever. Mini Borden came along after baby number 4, those were the days 😘
Hi, does anyone know if the extra 50% on sale items is in store? I saw their sign last week 30%-50% but I didn’t think there were add’l discount on top of that.
The store I went to had an additional 50% off Clearance and 30% off there newer items.

I’m so sad to hear that! I live in Brazil but I go to the US regularly to visit and to buy clothes for my son, and Gymboree is among my favorite brands!
Does anyone know if their return policy is different right now? My daughter got some clothes for her birthday from Gymboree Outlet and we have a gift receipt, but it’s a long drive to get to a store and we hadn’t planned to go yet, to exchange.
It sucks . There goes my $50 gift card wasted. Went to the store too late.
