Does anyone have any experience with the cat thundershirt? My cat has anxiety issues and was wondering if it would have the same effect on her as the weighted blanket
Hi Denise, we’ve had positive results with the dog thundershirt. Our dog has separation anxiety. We use that along with “doggy music” and a delicious filled frozen Kong whenever we leave the house.
That’s so sweet. I’ve been wanting to get a thundershirt for my boxer. He’s a big sweetie whose afraid of storms.
Hi JH509,
Google “Through a Dog’s Ear” by Joshua Leeds. We put it on continuous play when we leave home. It has a nice calming effect on our furry baby.
Thank you Bunny I’m putting it on tomorrow for my furry family members when I go run errands tomorrow.
Thank you bunny I hope it works for my cat
We’ve had success with using a dog vest that tightens at the abdomen. A friend makes them for rescue dogs to display their patch on. It’s very similar to a thunder shirt. We also use Pet Rescue Remedy which we’ve bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Bach-Rescue-Remedy-Pet-20/dp/B004IFKSLY/. I’ve used for several years for my dog who hates wind, rain and thunder. I read up on it and found the more we’ve taken her outside the less afraid she is from sounds of all of the above. She has bad knees so can’t take long walks but just taking her outside has helped a lot. She use to be so bad I couldn’t comfort her with out ‘swaddling’ her and holding her until she fell asleep or the sounds passed.
I am so glad you found relief for your dog. Thanks for sharing, Toni!
