In order for me to have it, I need a slab foundation and HOA approval, any idea how much to put a slab foundation costs?
DJ you could call a contractor who does concrete to come out and give you an estimate for the concrete pad. But first thing you should do is call your HOA and ask them to give you a copy of the specific regulations on the concrete pad. They may have a specific thickness that they will approve also ask them if you need to get a permit with them and your county. Ask your HOA if you need to put up a bond also. If you need a county permit you may need a bond for them as well. The bond is posted to ensure if the concrete truck damages the road this will pay to fix it. Make sure that if the HOA gives you the specific regulations you show it to the potential contractors so that they are installing to the HOA requirements and you won’t have to redo the process. If you are required to get a permit make sure you call and get the final inspections done so that you can then install the shed and if no damages is done you and/or contractor can get the bond funds returned. Oh I forgot that you need to call miss utilities so that they can mark the area where the shed will be placed for all underground utilities. I just spent a month working on a permit for a house with the county and had to put up a ridiculous bond amount . It’s a lot of work that goes into getting permits with counties and some counties have municipalities which means that they also want you to obtain permit. Call around and get three estimates and ask lots of questions from the contractors and your HOA. Good luck.
Thanks for the information Juma! Eye opening. Not as simple as I thought.
You are welcome. Hope you get that nice shed I’m sure in the end you will see it’s well worth it when you look out and see that beautiful storage shed gracing you backyard. Good luck
You can make a platform out of wood (think of a deck). That is much cheaper. You could prob do it for about $400.
