The dog food has been clearanced for about two weeks at our stores, but not the cat food, so I asked. The manager said they are not going to carry the dog food anymore so they are clearancing it out, but are keeping the cat food so it won’t be marked down. I was bummed, wet crave is the only grain free food my 17 year old cat will eat.
I know all animals are different but just a heads up. I bought a few of these on clearance and my dog threw up every time after he ate it. He typically doesn’t have this reaction to any wet food no matter the brand. Again not saying that’ll be the case for other people’s fur baby but I threw the rest of mine out and no more throwing up.
My dog didn’t throw up but ended up getting really sick from this dog food. She became very bloated and cried for about two weeks. After $500 in vet bills I realized it was the food. She was back to normal after she was put on a different dog food. I was feeding two dogs this, only one had the reaction.
So many dogs have sensitivities or allergies to certain food ingredients, & we aren’t aware of it unless we go through the process of testing different food ingredients. I think our dog’s sensitivity comes in the form of gas. Really horrible frequent gas! I suspect it is due to the corn meal they use as fillers, even in what you’d think are some of the healthier dog foods available. Trying to decode the ingredients in foods takes a lot of research. The manufacturers go out of their way to deceive us, just like they do with human foods.
