I simply can’t recommend this product enough!! We use the portable one while hunting, fishing, on the back deck/patio, at the lake, near the pool. It is an amazing device. It does get warm so keep away from little fingers but it really creates a large area that can be enjoyed mosquito free. Another thing I like about Thermacell is the lack of odor. Deer do not seemed bothered by it in the woods and neither do people. I suggest looking up how to diy refills to use the product at a cheaper price point but if you have a problem with biting insects spend the money it’s definitely worth it.

Keep your eyes opened at Home Depot at the end of Summer. I snagged 6 Patio Shield units for $5 each on clearance last year. I give them out to friends but they’re on their own for buying the butane cartridges and repellent pads.
