The Cuisinart Salad Spinner allows you to wash and dry salad greens in the spinner without removing the lid. I have a salad spinner from IKEA but it does not have the spot to drain the water without removing the lid. And this one has a better handle to spinner the items inside. Yes, it is a little more expensive so you pay for what you get.
