My daughter recently discovered the Dog Man books, and she loves them. This is a great price! Thanks!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Oh awesome! You’re welcome, Bobbi!

  2. B

Thank you! My son is counting down for this new book! It’ll be a perfect back-to-school present!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

GREAT! You’re very welcome, B! Glad you could order it for him!

  3. Beth

My kids love these books! (I personally can’t stand them but at least they’re reading!)

    • Steph

Beth, I agree. I’m not a fan of these books but my boys love them. Reading is reading, I guess.

  4. Mary

What age/grade level are these geared for?

    • KClee

My son is in 2nd grade and he loves them. I teach 4th grade and the older kids go crazy for them as well.

    • Angela

These are a a second grade reading level. But all ages enjoy them in our school library.

  5. Nichole

    Thank you!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome, Nichole!

These books are kind of weird/sick for a kid maybe subliminal messaging. Just read it before letting your child read it, same author as captain underpants, also inappropriate books.

    • Jamie

      Probably the Illuminati.

      Thanks Obama.

      🤦🏻‍♀️

      • Mel

Wow! What does Obama have to do with this?? Very childish!

        • Jamie

          ::whispers:: that was sarcasm 🙃

These books are disgusting and wrong…. They have decapitation of a police officer, bullying, putting people down in general, nudity, several references to urine/feces, and not to mention there are tons of grammatical errors put there on purpose…….

    • Ash

      😂 I can’t

    • Jess

Thanks for your review, that doesn’t line up with the morals I’m trying to teach my kids. I’ll skip this one!

      • melissastone

We find Pete the cat pretty awesome! Teaches great morals and my boys enjoy the stories.

    • C

LOL what the heck are you talking about?

  8. Missy

My daughter purchased a Dog Man book at her school book fair for $10.00, she is really into it. We looked into checking these books out of the library, but they are always all checked out. Even though I just purchased some books from their school Scholastic Reader, I purchased this one to!!

    • Trish

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

LOL! I tend to forget what I have ordered too! You’re very welcome!

These books are so awesome and I have read them along with my kids are we think they are hilarious. Yes, it’s got some gross stuff in there and decapitation, etc but you gotta have a sense of humor about it. My kids understand it’s just silly jokes and nobody acts like that in the real world. My kids are also reading Calvin and Hobbes and Peanuts and that’s also got some story lines that are pretty rude such as not being nice to your parents or putting down others (like how Lucy is mean to Charles). Do you have issues with Calvin and Hobbes and Peanuts too? If you do you should just stick with Little House on the Prairie I guess. 🙂

  11. Aly

Thanks for the heads up! We just bought the sixth book (and my kids have them all). This author seems to be on a roll churning new books every few months. I love how he titled his books after famous literature!

  12. AJ

My daughter is in 1st grade and loves these books. You have to have a sense of humor and it is a comic style reading. The policeman dog and policeman were actually heroes trying to stop a bomb. They tried to save both, by mixing the two… but that’s for people that actually check their facts. Everybody wants to make everything not appropriate these days and my daughter will read each comic box to each other. I pre-ordered and will surprise her. Many thanks!

Girls, Emi Kamiya, Devon Schuster, Carly and Melanie. Brette Polin when she sees these girls she can’t stand them she hates them just by looking at them and wants to fight. Becarefule of Brette Polin she is crazy!

  14. Carol

I just went on both websites & one is $9.09 & the other $9.11.
