Happily ever after starts with Target’s Wedding Registry! Here are 9 reasons to make one now!
1. Get free Target coupons!
Ummm… hello savings! The week of your event date, Target will send you a coupon for 15% off to use on everything left on your wedding registry (and only what’s on your registry). Even better, this coupon can be used TWICE – once on Target.com only, and once in-store. So you’re basically getting TWO exclusive coupons to get everything you’ve been eyeing anyway – cha-ching!
Your 15% off coupon will be sent to the email address associated with your registry, but note that your registry needs to be active for at least 14 days before your coupon can be created. You can also access the coupon/promotion from your online registry at Target.com or the Registry mobile app.
Note that your registry coupon will expire six months after your event date and may exclude the following: gift cards, prepaid cards, alcohol, milk, Levi’s Red Label, LEGO, Bose, JBL, Sonos, Apple, Fitbit, Tile, Google Home/Mini/Hub, LG OLED TV, Samsung TVs, GoPro, DSLR cameras & lenses, mobile contracts, Nintendo hardware and Switch games, PS4 hardware, Xbox One hardware, Simple Human, Traeger, Harry’s, Flamingo, power shave, power dental, Tylenol and Motrin pain relief, clinic & pharmacy, and Target Optical.
2. Add items from your other wedding registries.
If you’re registering at other retailers or online sites such as Amazon, you can even create a universal registry and add those items to your Target Wedding Registry – a great way to keep things organized!
When you see something you like on another retailer’s site, click the “+Target Registry” button on your bookmark bar to add the item to your Target registry. Gift givers will be directed to the site where the item is available for purchase, but note that these items will not automatically be updated as purchased on the Target registry. Also, items purchased from other retailers cannot be returned at Target.
3. Yes, you can price match your registry items too!
Did you know that Target will price match your wedding registry items? If you buy a qualifying registry item at Target then find the identical item for less at Target.com, select online competitors, or in Target’s or a competitor’s local print ad, you can rest assured that you’ll get the lowest price!
Just bring in the proof within 14 days after purchase and Target will adjust your payment to the lower price (exclusions apply). Target store price matches and adjustments can be completed in store at any lane – or you can call Target.com Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869 for online purchases.
4. Returns and exchanges are easy.
If you receive an item as a gift and later decide that it doesn’t quite fit in your new space, you can easily return or exchange most new and unopened items up to ONE year after your event date by simply using your return barcode. This code can be found on your Target.com Registry Homepage or in the Target Registry App.
Then just visit any of the 1,800+ Target stores nationwide to return your items, it’s that easy (exclusions may apply)!
5. Easily keep track of your wedding gifts.
Can’t remember who gave you that set of dishes? Or that vacuum? Planning a wedding can be a little hectic, but with Target’s Wedding Registry you can see who gave you what and who you’ve already thanked. Just select the gift tracker icon from your registry page to see a list of gifts purchased, along with the quantity, purchaser name, and date.
6. Group gifting makes big-ticket items more affordable.
Don’t hesitate to add expensive items to your registry! With group gifting, Target makes it easy for guests to contribute toward larger items priced over $100 (group gifting is automatically enabled for purchases over $100).
How does it work? Gift givers can contribute toward an eGiftCard for you to put toward the purchase of an item from a Target store or online (instead of the actual gift, you’ll get a Target eGiftCard to purchase the gift yourself). While the price of items may change, the group gift dollar amount will match the price of the item when the first contribution was made to that group gift.
7. Fund your honeymoon in a more subtle way.
Flat-out asking for Honeymoon money can be tricky, that’s why Target has partnered with Honeyfund (as seen on Shark Tank!) to make it easier for both you and your friends and family.
Plus, you can completely personalize your experience so guests can be excited about what they’re contributing to and add show tickets, massages, cooking lessons, sporting events, and more fun options to your registry with zero fees for gift-givers!
Here’s how it works:
When you register for Target honeymoon and newlywed experience gifts powered by Honeyfund, a Honeyfund account will automatically be created for you. Honeyfund will send an email to confirm your account, and you’ll be able to customize your fund settings. You can also publish a Honeyfund page that is linked to your Target Wedding Registry and customize your Honeyfund page to include wedding details, travel plans, and additional gift offerings for your guests to choose from.
Note that when you activate your account, you can choose one of two ways to redeem your gifts:

- Honeyfund Gift Card: Convert the funds to a zero-fee digital gift card, selecting from a network of digital gift card partners.
- Cash-out: Receive Honeyfund gifts as cash into your bank or PayPal account through WePay for a fee (2.4% + $0.30 per withdrawal transaction).
Note: If you don’t choose a redemption method prior to a gift being given, the default redemption method will be a Honeyfund Gift Card, and it cannot be changed later for gifts already received.
