We’ve had this monitor for over three years and have used with two kids. Works great!
I own this monitor and it’s so quiet. No white noise! I would definitely by this again!!
We have this one too, 4 years later still works GREAT!!
I have had this for over 3 years, and it works great. But I have always regretted not spending the extra money on a video monitor. If I could go back, I would spend a little more for extra peace of mind on a video one.
Thanks a bunch for the honest comment! I would have loved a video monitor too!
I couldn’t live without the video monitor. I love being able to see if their eyes are open or closed without going into their room.
These are fantastic! Have used them for 2 kids. Highly recommend.
Oh good! Happy to hear how well they have worked for you, Tori! Thanks for the great recommendation!
Video monitors are worth their cost, without a doubt! I’ve used my Motorola one for 6 years and it still works great. I have like the video capability especially when they are out of the crib and in big kid beds.
I agree with the other comments. I registered for these but my dad bought us a video monitor. I have never enjoyed a gift so much. Also, I have read that the WiFi video monitors can be hacked. Something to look into in case you are a first time parent like us. Being a first time parent I have always appreciated the feedback from other parents and Hip2Save for helping us survive financially. Thank you all.
You are SO very welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
These are great if you go outside while the baby is sleeping. I can hear it all the way to the back of my yard. Also great for vacation if you’re at the beach or lake. Our video monitor didn’t work outside. I’d suggest getting this one for outdoors & having a video monitor for indoors.
Thanks, Debbie! Good to know what a great range these have!

I have had mine for 6 years. The digital screen has gone out but they still work perfectly! I love these monitors!
Darn I just bought these less than 2 weeks ago from Walmart for $35. 🤦🏼♀️
I have used the DM221 (the original, which only has 1 parent & one child) for over 7 years now and I absolutely LOVE them.
I received 2 different ones as a baby gift in 2010 that were video monitors and they always had issues where the video was so grainy. I went through 2 different brands of video baby monitors in less than 2 years before I decided to try the DM221 on Amazon due to it’s reviews and it was the best decision I could’ve made.
Granted I can’t see her on video but I never really could on the video ones I had either, and still to this day I use this (my daughter turned 9 yesterday). She has some special needs that I like to know she’s ok.
But in the 7+ years I’ve had it, I’ve only had to replace one monitor cord!
I’ve purchased them for baby showers for all of my friends, I love it that much!
I’ve had these for years and they work great. It’s an excellent price. My kids don’t need monitors anymore (9 and 11) but we still use them for the talk-back intercoms. Great to use when calling them for dinner.
