I’m a homeschool mama. I was wondering if anyone new what identification they are looking for. I know states/groups have ID cards but we unfortunatley do not. Wondering if a letter from your school district stating your program has been approved is enough?

    • Denise

Maybe the manager will honor without the card or Id number

    • Dee

Ive never been asked for ID. The lines are typically on the long side. I don’t think they have time to card everyone. Just go and tell them you are an educator.

    • Becky

There are homeschool websites that have a template you can use for free. That’s what we always do.

I just told them I home schooled and I had card in my hand from the local homeschool association but they didn’t look at it, last year in Chester, VA.

Does anyone know of any gift card deal I can get at an actual store today. I need to give them tomorrow. I want 10-15-20 amounts but want to spend less than the amount on the card.

Any deals on Nurses? It’s also Nurses Week!

    • Denise

Chipotle usually runs the same promotion for nurses as well but it’s usually the week after so the two don’t overlap. My guess is it will be similar this year too.

    • J

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is currently celebrating Nurse’s Week starting today through Sunday with BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE sandwich, Entree Salad, or Pick Your Pair. You must show a valid work ID.

    • Sarah

    • Monica

    • Jessica

I have asked the same about nurses week. The response I’ve gotten from them is they will try and do something in July.

  4. Vickie

Glad they’re recognizing teachers, but don’t they know it’s national nurses’ week?

    • Melissa

      Yep my thought too

    • Sarah C

Chipotle will be doing this for nurses too soon. That’s what happened last year and the year before.

    How about tutors?

    • Sarah C

Probably not. Firstly, anyone can call themselves a tutor of something. Secondly, no proof. Thirdly, a teacher’s job is so much harder than a tutor’s. Believe me, I am both. A tutor is being hired by someone because their services are wanted. Do you know how much harder a teacher’s job is? I just don’t understand why there are so many people out there who get greedy and want to call themselves a teacher just to get something for free. Can a teacher just get appreciated once a year without other people trying to take advantage?

      • Maria

Thank you for being a teacher. Many people don’t realize teachers pay for a lot of their classroom items themselves.
